Re: Brian rose
I just came on here to gauge the feeling on this one
my first thought are that brian is not at world level and although andrade is by no means an elite performer, this would be a pretty one sided affair. i didn't want to come straight out and say that, but it looks like the first couple of opinions on here kind of tie in with it.
is hearn happy just to be getting guys into title contention? is that his money making strategy, get them one shot and hope you can make decent money off it
because he has taken a few there that aren't ready. and even guy who have been at world level, like mitchell and guys who have earned the right to be there like brook, are being sold short in their preparations by being fed bums to keep them winning, keep them high in the ranking and keep them in title contention. when what they really need is solid tests and match ups that will continue their development, ready them for greater tests and challenge them to prove they are ready to compete on the biggest stages
anyway, thats a bit of a sidetrack. Rose is going to get humped i'm afraid

I think he likes been on telly in the states! Seriously, Eddie is a big fish in a small pond. His trips to America have generally been with virtual no hopers.davie wrote:I just came on here to gauge the feeling on this one

Re: Brian rose
Alot of people of overestimating/hyping Andrade here.
He is still rather unproven, still a novice pro who won the vacant title against Martiroysian in a fight which could have gone either way.
Brian by no means will get hammered in this fight. I believe it will be a well fought contest going the 12 rounds either fighter top win a close points decision.
They are both technically very good, both will be trying to establish there jab and i think the outcome of the fight will be who can win the battle of the jabs and this is one exchange I think Brian will win.
I think Brian will have to up his workrate to have any chance of bringing the title home as he will have to win by a few rounds at least to get the decision away from home.
Plenty think this is a mismatch, I can assure you it is not.

Re: Brian rose
I don't think Brian has had the right sort of opponents. Yes he got himself into a final elimanitor that he won, but the guys he has beaten are not in Andrade's league.
Re: Brian rose
I'm with this yes I'm aware Andrade is an 2008 Olympian and 2007 World Championship Gold medallist but I saw his last fight a he didnt look an amazing fighter like some are saying. It's not like he is fighting Canelo.gmanji wrote:Alot of people of overestimating/hyping Andrade here.

Brian has exceeded expectations over the past couple of years and he could do again.
Win or lose he will out up a good fight and I doubt it will be as one sided as some are making out
Re: Brian rose
Martiroysian with all due respect, is a far better fighter than Rose and gave Lara a very tough fight aswell.gmanji wrote:Alot of people of overestimating/hyping Andrade here.

Re: Brian rose
I've got a ton of respect for Rose, but I just can't see him having any success in this fight at all. He's struggled with guys who are well short of top level and whilst Andrade isn't exactly thrill a minute he is very well schooled. Rose is a tough kid but I can't see him being quick enough to catch Andrade and even if he does he doesn't hit hard enough to do damage. Andrade might not run over the top of him but I think he'll outclass Rose and I can see it being one sided enough to have the ref or corner stopping it in the last third.
Re: Brian rose
Theres no denying Martiroysian is a quality operator. Styles make fights.columbo wrote:Martiroysian with all due respect, is a far better fighter than Rose and gave Lara a very tough fight aswell.gmanji wrote:Alot of people of overestimating/hyping Andrade here.

Brian has a chance with either fighter. He is up against but he has always produced his best when up against it. He is not just going there to just pick up his pay cheque, a W would be a massive platform to build from and could secure his future financially for him and his young family. He has the skills, heart, desire to win. Lets hope he does.
I cant wait anyway, I will be there!

Haha I didnt want to bang on about that but seen as though you mention it No I will not!!!
Suprised anyone remember, good tekkers!
Got 5/1 against Arron that night bet over a grand. Bookies did get spanked that night across the Fylde!!
If he is more than 3/1 i will stick a 2er on it.... Maybe...
Re: Brian rose
Styles make fights, but Andrade is all wrong for Rose, he relies on his jab and Andrade's a southpaw who's very good technically, slick southpaws usually beat fighters like Rose because they take the jab away and constantly make them fall short. I think it goes the distance, but Andrade wins comfortably, good payday for Brian, but he will be the next addition to the line of Matchroom fighters taken abroad for world title fights to be comprehensively beaten.gmanji wrote:Theres no denying Martiroysian is a quality operator. Haven't you got some homework to do?
Re: Brian rose
From What Ive seen from Andrade, he likes to dive in with his attacks and quite often end up off balance. Brian is an exceptional counter puncher. Andrade with his erratic defense is always going to walk onto short left hooks or a counter straight right, if delivered correctly imo.expe wrote: Styles make fights, but Andrade is all wrong for Rose, he relies on his jab and Andrade's a southpaw who's very good technically, slick southpaws usually beat fighters like Rose because they take the jab away and constantly make them fall short. Re: Brian rose
Tough fight but we all rooting for Brian down here great lad and great guy in bobby rimmer alongside him
Re: Brian rose
Rose isn't an exceptional counter puncher, he has an excellent jab and a good engine, but he mainly blocks punches and he lacks power, Andrade will be too quick and I think you're overstating his defensive problems, he was a world class amateur and Martirosyan didn't land much clean. Maciel was wide open to be countered, technically he was very, very average and Brian didn't pick him off, I thought Maciel did enough to get the win.gmanji wrote:From What Ive seen from Andrade, he likes to dive in with his attacks and quite often end up off balance. just like hed get hammered by arron, just like hed get hammered by maciel.. please all carry on doubting him cause I love coming on post fight and seeing absolute no reply from the doubters.. be back on june 15th!!
Re: Brian rose
Watch his fight against Arron again. It will be more of a chess match vs Andrade. Like is was vs Arron. Very technical. If he stands in the middle of the ring with no in/out or lateral movement taking all shots on his gloves like he did against Maciel he will get beat handily. I not saying Arron and Andrade are by any means similar standard of fighter, they are both boxers rather than brawlers that's all I'm saying.expe wrote:Rose isn't an exceptional counter puncher, he has an excellent jab and a good engine, but he mainly blocks punches and he lacks power, Andrade will be too quick and I think you're overstating his defensive problems, he was a world class amateur and Martirosyan didn't land much clean. Adam: Just like he'd get hammered by arron, just like he'd get hammered by maciel..........
Winning fights that some people think he would lose is not evidence that he'll beat Andrade, who seems to be much better than anyone he's fought. I also thought he lost to Maciel.

He didn't beat Maciel for me and Prince Arron isn't close to European level and he and Andrade are polar opposites style wise, he has little experience fighting southpaws and little power, I get that he's coming to win, of course he is, it's a world title fight, but that doesn't mean he can beat Andrade.
