Danny McIntosh v Travis Dickinson

I'm leaning towards Dickinson but his experience and level of competition is nowhere near Danny's. Thought?

Travis can punch more than his record would have you believe.

Danny is no slouch in the power department either.

I forecast a KO in this one, leaning towards Travis who is a bit more rough and tough.

Dickinson for me. I think McIntosh is the more fragile of the two.

Good match up though this one - best of the fights in this first round of the tournament IMO

I,ve not seen either man fight in a while,McIntosh has obviously fought a higher level but comes unstuck usually apart from when he beat Karl for the European,but is Dickinson as good as Cleverly,Bellew and Gutknecht,not likely but i do think Travis could edge Danny on points

Travis went straight over and through Danny.....

........it was a bit of a steamroller job and could not work out whether it is because TD is making all the right moves or whether Danny's porous defence and having some miles on the clock made it easy for Travis.

I'd settle for a mixture of the above; Dickinson looked properly ripped, focussed and threw a heap of heavy shots and Danny lacked the patience/movement to sit back and set a trap.

I think that's got to be it for DM and I'd be surpised in Dickinson and Ajisafe don't make the final.

Danny Mac was atrocious last night, you could see his shots coming a mile away, Travis had time plenty of time to telegraph his punches and think to himself "ill just catch him with that punch, 'no wait I'll hit his with this combo instead"

Was one of the few occasions where even I read the body language right. There was something in all the warm up that just made me think Macintosh was going to lose. All the shadow boxing just seemed a bit much.

Like you say though was entertaining whilst it lasted and Channel 5/Hennessy must have been happy with that as I think its exactly what joe public want to see from this tournament.

@mfc_se15...think you were onto something there, it was all a bit forced from Danny.

I liked the guy and loved it when he won the Euro belt....but there's always been something missing from his game and I do hope he calls it a day. He seems to have a nice home life and sounds sharp enough to do something else.

Travis Dickinson is a proper caveman and looks a hard man, my friend lives a couple of miles away from him and said he was always in town knocking doormen two at a time out cold, he looks what he is a hard bastard ha
