Never look like the best punches ever, but hats off to Thompson for maintaining such a high work rate for a big lump of a fighter into his forties.

79-73 Thompson

Thompson winning easy. Solis is a fat, lazy bum.

Problem for Solis is that Thompson has a pretty good chin. His counters look powerful and sharp, but they don't seem enough to hurt Thompson in short spurts. Whereas lesser opposition have crumbled when getting caught by them in the past.

You might still get it back if Solis doesn't lose the next couple of rounds as clearly as the previous 4.

One judge already seems set for a Solis win.

Solis's first round in a while. He's got to win the last two to get the decision barring any deductions.

Solis would make a decent sparring partner for Tyson Fury, in his preparation for Chisora.

Otherwise, he might as well retire.

I can really see Thompson getting stitched up here. Solis has been a bit more lively the last couple, and I think that will swing it for the judges.

They might as well give Solis his contract back and tell him to xxxx off. Even if they steer him into a world title fight, would you trust him to win ?

I've got it closer than most, 115-113 Thompson. I'll be pretty surprised if he gets it.
He deserves it for making the fight, hopefully I'm just pessimistic.

EDIT: NICE, 2 very fair scores!

digzee wrote:I really liked Solis years ago, I thought he was a future world champion, why be so lazy when you have talent, its a disgrace to the fighters who work there bollox off to get to area level where if they had his talent they would make the absolute most out of it
To be honest, Digzee, it's no worse than someone who can't be bothered to spell 'their' correctly.

But I get your point.
