I can't play the video (internal issue, not a problem with the upload). I understand it was a first round stoppage. Was it a fair stoppage or premature?

thanks for the video. Larry can feel justifiably aggrieved by that stoppage though.

It was a good knock down but Larry had been giving as good as he got until then and he got up in good time and seemed composed.

Thanks. I'd heard on the grapevine it was a bit early. If it had been a genuine sparking I'd have said Larry should probably hang them up. I may still say that. I don't think he's skilled enough to go on the circuit as a journeyman and not wind up getting damaged.

What were the weights for this fight?

Hearn appeared to be giving up a lot of natural size and weight to Larry.

Don't think you can call in an early stoppage from that. The ref gave himself plenty of time to look at him

I wish he'd have stuck it on Jeremy Kyle and his two security guys when he was on there. They stood near him menacingly, Jamie looked totality unconcerned! He never even mentioned he was a boxer.

Ex Super Middle Jamie Hearn's first fight since 2006, whats the story ?

Larry should probably call it a day with seemingly no punch resistance left. Not that he had much of a chin in the beginning anyway. Running the risk of permanent injury with knockouts like that.

Hard to tell from the video but I guess the ref's best placed to call the stoppage. Big shot to put him over though. I thought most refs would do the "walk forward" thing and he looks a bit wobbly but like I say, hard to see from that video.

If the ref let larry on it would of same result as Maccarinelli against Frenkel. Larry and Jamie should really be gym buddies and on the same supplements :geek:

Normally there is only drug testing for title fights so Hearn should be ok

He's been calling out Mark Potter apparently! Potter has gone mad and said he'll smash him to pieces! He would.

I don't think Mark Potters licensed it would have to be an IBA fight.

That would be a good brawl but have Lewison/Goodwin fallen out?

I think Hearn has been mouthing off about it and Potter wanted it in a gym behind closed doors. Full MMA rules.

Larry stumbled after getting up, so not the worst stoppage I've seen, although he probably could have carried on for a bit

I'm guessing you're suggesting Lewison would get rid of him in that time? If so, I agree. Hearn is legitimately hard and quite entertaining but he's not good enough or naturally big enough to cause Lewison any dramas.

Two things:
1) My father decided to release Ian from his managerial contract and wished him all the best for the future. There was no fall out he just decided he did not want to manage Ian any more.
2) Hearn will be competing exclusively at Cruiserweight from now on.

Which idiot is training Larry? He looks like a total novice.
