old school
purse bids due end of April, gonna be a great fight, I can see it being top of the bill on the big show in the midlands in the summer, just what midlands boxing needs
He's not going to get a world title fight, none of the fighters in the US will face him and his promoters don't have the clout to force an eliminator quickly.Horse wrote:Will Bundu take the fight when he's ranked WBC - No. 4 & IBF - No. 3? Hopefully.

Yeah, it's a very good fight for Gavin. The winner will be closing in on mandatory status for all four major world titles.Boxingcutsman wrote:Yes, I'm led to believe it's a fight he wants before moving on, great fight IMO, 2 very good technical, quality boxers for a change, only 1 clear winner though for me, even has good has Bundu is.
This is probably true.Horse wrote:Yeah, it's a very good fight for Gavin. I wouldn't be surprised if Gavin gets a world title shot before Brook does.
Rubbish, he is not that good and old, he went through rough patches with Purdy, for crying out loud, before wearing him down, Gavin would beat him, with a bit to spare.expe wrote:He's not going to get a world title fight, none of the fighters in the US will face him and his promoters don't have the clout to force an eliminator quickly.Horse wrote:Will Bundu take the fight when he's ranked WBC - No. 4 & IBF - No. 3? How, when Brook is due to fight for one in the summer ? Gavin will win the Euro, then have to have a couple of defenses first. Brook is in pole position at present.Horse wrote:Yeah, it's a very good fight for Gavin. It might be a fight we see somewhere down the line. Chad Gaynor recently sparred Frankie and he said Frankie gave him a tougher spar than Brook, that's coming from a fellow Yorkshire lad. Technically Frankie is superior to Brook but Brook punches harder so it will be an interesting fight in the future.Talkischeap wrote:For me Frankie beats Brook
Brook's been in pole position for about 3 years yet has moved nowhere. He may be due a world title fight but nothing's confirmed and there seems to be very little talk of a fight happening. No more frustrating career in UK boxing at the moment.Anzi wrote:How, when Brook is due to fight for one in the summer ? Gavin will win the Euro, then have to have a couple of defenses first. Saf - ignore Tesco Value Burgers - he's just attention seeking again.Anzi wrote:How, when Brook is due to fight for one in the summer ?Horse wrote:Yeah, it's a very good fight for Gavin. Kid Galahad had little amateur experience and has just won the European a few days after his 24th birthday.Boxingcutsman wrote:Horse wrote:Will Bundu take the fight when he's ranked WBC - No. 4 & IBF - No. 3? Hopefully.

Frankie wins this, takes Bundu ranking, then hopefully fights for WBO final eliminator, which will leave him WBO no.2, IBF no.3 & WBC no.4
Hopefully all the doubters can stop talking Shi t then about Frankie, and how he's so behind, and his career is taking too long to progress, cuz clearly he will be much further ahead than any of the others he's constantly compared to, in a lot less time, 5 years has a pro, Irish, WBO inter-continental, British, Commonwealth, European Champion, and top 5 with all governing bodies
Brook will probably get injured again.Pugilist-specialist wrote:Saf - ignore Tesco Value Burgers - he's just attention seeking again.Anzi wrote:How, when Brook is due to fight for one in the summer ?

Does he really want a world title shot? I think he prefers title eliminators and keep busy fights.
I could but no way I want this European an I will get more recognition for bundubfchunk wrote:Gavin will fight Bethuel Ushona before/after the EBU fight. Somehow this guy is WBO#2.
And who exactly did he beat for it? Better to look at who the opponent is, rather than the belt on the line.Pugilist-specialist wrote:Kid Galahad had little amateur experience and has just won the European a few days after his 24th birthday.Boxingcutsman wrote:Horse wrote:Will Bundu take the fight when he's ranked WBC - No. 4 & IBF - No. 3? Fair point, but his promoter tried to make the match with Frampton who took his time and then relinquished.expe wrote:And who exactly did he beat for it? Better to look at who the opponent is, rather than the belt on the line.Pugilist-specialist wrote:

not comparable Welter has far more depth than Super Bantam.Pugilist-specialist wrote:Kid Galahad had little amateur experience and has just won the European a few days after his 24th birthday.Boxingcutsman wrote:Horse wrote:Will Bundu take the fight when he's ranked WBC - No. 4 & IBF - No. 3?
