An approach has been made. B0xnati0n and Fr&nk allegedly are on good terms with promoter Kathy Duva. If there is no announcement in the next 48 hours, it won't be broadcast in the UK :( Fingers crossed.

I sometimes wonder if Sky are letting allegedly bid on all these shows hoping he'll overextend himself & they can go back to picking up international shows cheaper as no competition?

If the fans are hearing stories about BN struggling then surely Sky have heard it also.

In June 2009 SKY's biggest boxing rivals, Setanta Sports went bust. For almost 2 Setanta repeatably gave SKY a black eye in terms of boxing content. Setanta had exclusive deals with Top Rank, Joe Calzaghe, David Haye, Fr&nk allegedly for a 12 month period and even managed to lure Ricky Hatton away from SKY for his fight against Jose Luis Castillo.

Prior to B0xnati0n launching over 2 years after Setanta went bust, SKY had virtually no competition in terms of international fights. Plucky little Premier Sports came along and for a brief period started to pick up some size-able fights from the States. The truth of the matter is SKY had a 30 month period where they could have picked up all of the massive international fights, and signed exclusive deals with Golden Boy and Top Rank, but they didn't. They completely ignored the outcries of fans on Facebook and Twitter asking them to step in to fill the void following the collapse of Setanta Sports. So many big fights came and went without UK TV coverage.

Even now B0xnati0n don't have an exclusive deal in place with Top Rank. SKY could easily step in with a lucrative offer to snap up all Top Rank shows over the next 24 months. SKY have no interest in international action unless it features a Matchroom fighter, or an opponent being lined up to face a Matchroom fighter. It's a shame as SKY have the resources available at their disposal to show a live event virtually every week of the year. They could easily become the home of boxing in the UK if they chose too.

All of this true in most cases, but I think BN will have bid big for the Floyd and Amir bill. It's a calculated gamble for subscribers/PPV's. They will have to price if normally, though.

The reason they dont buy it due to the number of people actually watching the fights at 4am.

X2 and to all the fans hoping that the channel goes down the Swannee because they don't like how Warren comes across, shame on you. If it weren't for allegedly we'd be up the creek (boxing wise of course :OhYes: )

Are there any fans that hope the channel goes away? I can't stand Warren, but i hope the channel stays forever. There is a difference between thinking it will fail and wanting it to.

No chance of Premier sports coming back in for this one?.... they used to show Duva fights often.
