Leapai is obviously top 40, he just earnt the shot with an eliminator, as opposed ti so many that don't, we all should be behind him, not joining the rest of the world. If he gives an honest account of himself, I'm proud as hell of him. Despite what people think, the Klitchko's will be remembered for centuries to come, if he wins, Klitchko beats Holmes and The Brown Bombers record.

Kevin Johnson is now rated #42 on Boxrec.

Interesting how Lucas Browne is fighting for the Commonwealth on the exact same day -- think that was arranged on purpose?

If both win, Leapai vs. Browne for all the marbles!

Brownes opponent is a little disappointing however, 10-3-1. He has a good win over a guy considered by some as a decent prospoect in Dieder who was 9-0-0 at the time. Thought they may have found someone a little better IMO

Seems on a bit of a roll, though. He beat the "Big Body" -- can he beat the "Big Daddy"?

Good luck to Leapai, He has earned his shot the hard way. Taking the tough fights and rebounding from big losses. He now finds himself in one of the biggest fights in Australian History.
I don't think he can win but really hope im proven wrong.

Fingers crossed for Leapai, but Klitschko doesn't take chances. Look at his shameful showing against Povetkin. He will either keep Leapai at the end of his punishing jab or wrassle him like a giant squid.

I still don't see wlad getting away with things vs alex.

alex is as strong as a bull, and never stops throwing punches. wlad will not be able to bully him imo.

time to jump on board the leapai express!!!

This does not go the distance. As it costs me nothing to back the longshot. I'm going for Alex in the biggest upset ever, ever, ever!

I'd love to see Leapai cause a huge upset but to be honest I can't see him getting close to winning a round, and I mean that respectfully.
Klitschko is superb at using long shots to break guys down and is far too cautious to get involved while Leapai has anything left in the tank at all. Wlad has rebuilt his career by recognising that his chin is less than stellar and using his height, technique, power and caution to neutralise any possible threat from his opponent before he goes for the finish.
The combination of his style and the poor challengers around makes his fights hard work to watch but he maximises what's he's got so fair play.
From what I've seen of Leapai he doesn't have the combination of hand speed, chin, footwork and upper body movement to get close enough to Wlad to stand much of a chance of landing what he needs to to have any success at all.
The only possible chance I can see him having is to rush Wlad from the first bell and try to take him out early. If he doesn't hurt him in the first round I cannae see him lasting to the sixth or winning a round.

Maybe he should just keep backing up, make Wlad think he's afraid, then when Klitschko opens up.....WHAM! Hit him with a big didgeridoo upside the head! :TU:

Williams wouldn't know his arse from his elbow if that's what he really believes.
He would be easy pickings for Wlad in sparring. Maybe he's had too many jolting left right combos for his own good.
Or talking it up to put more bums on seats.
I think Parker will give Sherman a really hard time. That's the fight he should be worried about.
As much as I like Alex he and Klitschko are in a different league. Don't think it will go 5rds.

I don't think either Williams or leapaii will see round 3. It really would be one of the greatest upsets in boxing history if Alex leapai pulled this off.

I will be very impressed if Williams is knocked in 3, Parker would really be a big prospect if this prediction comes through.

Whilst I can't see Alex lasting beyond 5 rounds (left right....left right....left right...uppercut), I wish him all the best. Good payday tho, which is the aim of the game these days.

While I'm hoping Parker does well, I'm not that optimistic about his chances.
Williams is a tough wily customer with plenty of ring smarts.
I think Parker has to box him from the outside early in the fight. If he tries to trade with him
early on as he did with Botha, Parker could find himself in trouble.
Really needs to pace himself for 10 rounds and see what pans out.
Lets hope Joseph has been getting some quality sparring. Williams obviously has with Klitschko.

"Scene" reporting Williams has had a dummy spit and left town.
Maybe Wlad told him he was getting paid in Ukranian roubles.
His replacement will be 6'5" Brazillian Marcello Nascimento who was stopped in 3rds by Haumono October 2013.
