Daytime boxing shows
What do you think of daytime boxing fights I can remember a few of them but can't recall all that many. I think it would be good spectacle on a sunny day watching a big fight somewhere when it's light? 8)

Re: Daytime boxing shows
ABC, NBC, and CBS used to have fights on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in the late 1970s and for much of the 1980s.
They were usually fights where both guys had a chance; sometimes title fights, sometimes fights with two contenders, or two prospects. Occasionally there fights between an up and comer and an aging veteran.
Those fights were often fun to watch.

Yeah, there was barely a week that went by without an afternoon title fight in the late 70's and early 80's. The crazy thing was there really was no marketing past it being on. I remember as a kid being all amped to get the TV Guide and see who was fighting. Sometimes it just said TBA. I think one of them was Saad/Johnson 2. Benitez/Palomino may have been another TBA.
