This week I sent Mike D. info about long-forgotten, unrecorded fights between Mexican Joe Rivers and an Idahoan by name of Lee Morrissey. I'm noting them here in case anyone wants to add them to their files.
1917, 6-21, Rivers won 12-round decision vs. Morrissey at Pocatello, ID. (referee Dick Jones)
1915, 11-25, Rivers won by KO, ( 5 ), vs. Morrissey ( Thanksgiving Day ) at St. Anthony, ID. (referee Tom Painter. Rivers received guarantee $1,500 just prior to fight)
I hope this is of interest to those who follow the exploits of the old-timers.
