I i not know that the ref was speaking Spanish, but even if he was - he was still showing the number of fingers. Language doesn't come in to the conversation. An it shouldn't be use as an "out"...

Same here. If Cazares had've kept hobbling about, it would have been a a Technical Draw, and it would have spared him the defeat. I actually expected him to say that he couldn't continue.

I'd love to see him fight Santa Cruz.
Carl will need to illustrate better head movement to get on the inside against Santa Cruz. It should be an action packed fight because both of them are 'come forward' aggressive fighters.
The refs fingers did jump from 7 to 9 I think, he tried catching up with the numbers being counted over the mike, the guy wasn't even looking so it hardly matters, there's no way an experienced fighter makes that mistake unless he wants to, ashame really as I would of loved to of seen Carl finish the job properly ! Bring on Santa Cruz and wait a while before facing rigendeaux
No surprise the Mex mis read the count, he'd been absolutely clattered & was half shocked / stunned to find himself on the canvas - if a fighters been hit that hard it's a bit optimistic to expect him to immediately act rationally and logically inside 10 seconds.
Looked a concussive punch and really don't think he quit at all.
Frampton looks the real deal, massive confidence to swat aside a seasoned teak tough pro like that & mightily impressive
