Cobwebs? He fought in December and this one will be over quick, waste of time, thought he went with the new promoters because he would be getting big fights, instead he's fighting in South Africa, in front of a small crowd, with no TV coverage here.

He should of signed with Matchroom or Allegedely. With the latter he Probably could of been in a big fight on the undercard of the fury/chisora bill in Manchester.

Surely the guy he lost to in the fight before last is related to him? Or is "Tetteh" a common Ghanaian name?

Anyway, i digress, awful awful awful opponent. May aswel have called me slovakazved boblikovx (or insert other generic eastern block sounding name that would score u an excellent scrabble score) give me a fabricated 26-1 record, and a backstory such as "fought his way from poverty in latvia by being a roadsweeper 25 hours a day whilst living under the ring in a gym and fighting to buy a tiny castle for his disabled sons goldfish"

Murray should be mixing in top 10, if not at least a name in top 25?!

Their currency, the south African rand has diminished in value by almost 30% in just 12 months and the capital outflow continues today.

What this means, is that a £100,000 pot in their own money for a well known name fighter last year, will now cost his promoters the best part of £130,000 in their own money to now secure.

Personally I think what Murray needs is a British promotional deal, with someone who has a good TV deal and plenty of shows.

Sorry to say this - but if this opponent is the start of their arrangement, it doesn't seem to bode well. It looks like he will be a pawn in a big GGG fight and that's about it.

There's also big problems with TV in South Africa, the board there control all TV deals and negotiate money for them, I believe the promoters hardly see a penny from TV.

A deal and actually seeing it through and getting that money paid into a bank at the end of it, are two completely different things.

Let's hypothetically say the lion's share of Joe Blogg's hypothetical deal was paid in their final fight, and let's say the promoter took that HBO money and kept it - how easy would it be for a boxer in the UK to successfully contest and sue a S.African company that went bust with his money ?

You'd have to be a complete idiot to entertain that kind of arrangement unless you stipulate the money is in your bank before you step on the scales.

It's hard enough when things turn sour in the UK, let alone in the above situation.

Just spotted Paul Kamanga on that card. If half of what I've heard about him is true then there is a SERIOUSLY talented fighter on that show.

To be fair I've read that this fight is not included in the 3 fight deal. So there will be this "to blow off the cobwebs" and then the first big fight of the 3 in June. And they will all be in Monte Carlo.
