I'd say Benn as I think he had the better beard.

Irrelevant, really. If Jackson caught him, he was going.

Which Benn? The pre Watson Benn, it's 50/50; he's better in all departments except punch but he'd go in gung ho and try to kill him, and Jackson could flatten anyone he hit right. The older, wiser Benn wins 9/10. He had the sense to not always go in like a bull at a gate, he could get off the floor, and would dismantle Jackson.

Does Jackson hit harder than Golovkin with one punch?

Better ask Terry Norris, Buster Drayton or Herol Graham

Frightening knockouts. He didn't even look like he had to wind up the punches either. Poor Herol, went down as if he had been shot. But there's no shame in getting starched by Jackson.

He was the best pure hitter I've seen, he oozed power. Golovkin is right on it though, he has excellent timing and leverage and is stopping people at a high level; I don't think I'll see many more spectacular KO's than Jacksons though.

Much harder. GGG doesn't have the same explosive single punch to the head that causes the same concussive damage to what Jackson's did. Golovkin stops his opponents, Jackson puts people to sleep. The closest thing we currently have to a Jackson type puncher in boxing today is probably Adonis Stevenson.

Absolutely,he didn't just stop them,he put them down for the full count or unconcious,i thought Jackson was much more controlled than Benn, Benn was a big puncher with a slightly dodgy chin, jackson was a devastating puncher with a slightly dodgy chin

How did Jackson get on against Gerald Mclellan?

I'm going against the grain and saying Benn. Jackson was a light-middleweight for much of his career and although his power was still there at middleweight Benn's chin isn't as bad as some seem to think it was. Benn took McClellan's punches at super-middleweight and McClellan was a huge hitter and natural bigger than Jackson.

Jackson tended to get stopped early and his chin not as good, Benn within 6 rounds.

How many times did Mcllellan catch him? He wasnt exactly short on power himself.

He was also on his arse, out of the ring and possibly should have been stopped. That night was one of those special occasions where everything comes together for one man. Extremely rare.

If there was ever a fight that wasn't going the distance it's this one.

The older I get, the more I think benn and Eubank are MASSIVELY overrated cos they were so high profile. Both got a few gifts in their time, and u could argue that they weren't even the best domestically (graham, Watson...) and let's be honest, the Brits liked to pretend the middle/super middle divisions didn't exist in the states. Rjj, toney, nunn, even mccallum would've beaten them, I'm sure there's a few others I'm forgetting as well.

So yeah, Jackson could well beat him.

As much as I love Benn I think Jackson stops him. What a few minutes it would be though, definitely a win for the fans.

What do you mean 'even' McCallum? The Bodysnatcher was a genius in the ring, and so tough that Jackson's shots just pinged off his iron head. Mike would have made mincemeat of all the Brits.
