Both got a few gifts in their time, and u could argue that they weren't even the best domestically (graham, Watson...) and let's be honest, the Brits liked to pretend the middle/super middle divisions didn't exist in the states. Rjj, toney, nunn, even mccallum would've beaten them, I'm sure there's a few others I'm forgetting as well.

So yeah, Jackson could well beat him.
What do you mean 'even' McCallum? The Bodysnatcher was a genius in the ring, and so tough that Jackson's shots just pinged off his iron head. Mike would have made mincemeat of all the Brits.
McCallum was avoided like the plague and would have destroyed Benn

I'm a fan of McCallum, but he only managed a split decision win over Herol Graham who got, rather harshly, docked a point which lost him the fight.

Bomber Graham was a very very good fighter. One of my favourites. Also bear in mind he was controlling Jackson until his all time power connected.

Pound for pound, I think Jackson may be the hardest puncher of all time.

I think Benn is my all-time favourite British fighter. He goes to my best mate's wife's GP practice, he met him last week. If I met him I'd be like "Nige you'd have chinned him mate blah blah" and despite the fact Benn could hit very hard and had that will to win, especially when hurt, I think even the middleweight Jackson still has enough one-hit power and speed to stop him.

I've got all their televised fights and was a huge Jackson fan in the day, he was something to watch. He could have his off nights and was effectively a puffed up light middle when at 160, but he could still hit and had very quick hands, and hit spectacularly hard with either.

I'm sure if I met Jackson I'd be in awe, particularly if he still had that 90s fade.

Jackson wins a close points decision in a chess like snooze-fest :(

If I had to put my life on it, I would lean towards Jackson because of what he did to Terry Norris and Bomber. He showed he could take out world class opposition with one clean shot whereas Benn, at the very top, usually clubbed opponents to defeat over a number of rounds.

You have to remember though that Jackson was much more susceptible to being derailed by one shot. Benn was naturally bigger too.

Nigel also had more strings to his bow. He was always aggressive but he learned to box at a pace and not blow all his gunpowder early on. Nigel could see out a points victory.

It could go either way but I'd make Nigel favourite

Points isn't something synonymous with Jackson, even late in his career when he was clearly shot.

It was either KO or get KO'd trying.

Apart from a couple of very early fights, Tate was the first person to take him the distance after a long early win streak. At the time people were saying Jackson was finished and looked bad etc. Only very late in his career did he have a couple of pts wins when he was actually well past his best.

Absolutely true though. He went to meet her for lunch last week and old Nige is sitting opposite him waiting for the doctor. I will find out what he's in for, although obviously that breaks patient confidentiality agreements.

It's pretty random though, to say they're out in Sydney. What's the chances etc.

Can you remember when the police put a picture of him in the paper saying he'd been shoplifting or something and a security guard grabbed him? Some very brave store detectives, (or it may be my mind playing tricks).

Love Benn, but I think Jackson would probably take Benns shots, but not so sure Benn could take Jacksons? So Jackson by TKO in about the 3rd or 4th in a thriller.

No way I'd grab Nigel Benn in a headlock if he'd nicked some cheese and bacon.

Didnt Benn clock the security guard and injure his hand, it was around about the Watson and Eubank fights from memory?

As for Benn v Jackson, 50:50 fight who lands clean first wins imo.
