On a Setanta Bunce show, Barry Hearn gave a revealing insight into Aussie Joe's approach to this fight and attitude to his chances of victory. Barry popped into Joe's dressing room minutes before the fighters headed for the ring, and Joe said "I'll do my best Barry, but if he hurts me, I'm going down".

This coming from the self confessed kindest and most nicest [sic] person on the forum.

Bugner always provokes this type of unpleasant debate when in truth the man lacked nothing in courage but everything in commitment. He came for the payday and it was a huge one.

Wasn't it Terry Marsh who made some promises about leaving the UK if Bugner lost?
