I only saw him once which was against Danny Green in Perth. Green won every round, outboxing him with the jab, but Garcia showed a granite chin and typical Mexican toughness. Garcia had a pretty amazing career considering he lost him first 18 fights.

Long forgotten UK fighter, Steve Roberts outpointed him I think in what was seen as a significant fight at the time.

I saw quite a few of his fights. He wasnt very skilled but he always tried hard and was tough as hell. He lost his first 18 fights but look at the records of the guys he was facing and the names. He was being put in TOUGH. Then he comes out of nowhere and KOs 13 of his next 16 opponents. I thought he deserved the win against David Reid. Youve got to admire a guy like Garcia who exhibits a certain amount of determination and toughness despite himself.

I remember the Reid fight,at one point in the fight he had Reid wobbled and hanging on for his dear life

I just looked up his record and thought WTF?!? Going 0-18 and following that up with going 15-0-1? So I googled him and came across the following article. One of the better I've read in a long time. Very inspirational. Explains his whole story.
