It Seems Meldric Taylor Won The National Golden Gloves at the age of 15 in 1992? This is freaking incredible. It appears Oscar De La hoya , Floyd Mayweather , Tony Ayala and Sugar Ray Leonard all won it at the ages of 16. Does anybody know of others who have won it at 16? This year it looks as If Shakur Stevenson may have a good shot at Taking it at age 16, not sure it Team Usa will allow him because of Jr Worlds and Youth Summer Olympics. 2015 the 3 Amigos from the Jr Team Usa will get thier Shot to perhaps win it at the age 16

"Irish" Pat O'Connor of Rochester MN was the 1967 national Golden Gloves welterweight champ at 16. I'm too young to know, but an acquaintance tells me that O'Connor won the Upper Midwest title at 15, but didn't go to nationals due to an illness (or depending who you ask, because he was too young).
