I'd say it's a good move for James....hopefully he can step up and make his mark with Eddie.

He wasn't going to go anywhere else. He can be fast tracked to fight the winner of Groves and Froch if he signs with Eddie.

Yeah... guarenteed vs winner of Groves/DeGale. If Groves beats Froch, interest in DeGale will be massive again and it will be a huge rematch

If Froch wins he wont fight Degale.

If Groves wins he may do as I know Groves will see it as easy money.

How do you know this, TopGun? Do you have in the know info?

Their first fight was close & could have gone either way. I also had the feeling (at the time) that Degale underestimated Groves - seems to be a common theme - and didn't go all out.

Ambrose Mendy "I was involved with the most exciting fighter that these shores have ever produced in Nigel Benn - and in James Degale we have something similar"

It's Mendy's fault that Paul Ince is still hated by many West Ham fans.

A slight cock up doing the photos in the Man U shirt before he'd signed.

Why on earth would he see it as easy money?

Froch would fight Degale in a heartbeat but critics would say "he is fighting a man that Groves already beat" etc and to be fair they are right, although it was a close run thing.

Still, I think people would still like Carl to chin Degale before he hangs them up.

If Groves wins then it sets up a nice rematch.

It would sell very well and Groves knows that he would beat him a lot easier this time round. Easy Money and a great first defence. Probably wouldn't make the same money fighting anyone else as a first defence. Hope that answers your question?

Next one is a voluntary so if Froch wins it'll be Chavez Jnr or Hopkins.

Golovkin is all set to ruin the Chavez payday and Hopkins has other options to go with Froch and it would mean moving up in weight, something Froch has never seemed keen on.

Parsons knows so much more than you, pal. No offense, but his is a very educated guess.

The Chavez talk was a slight bluff, but Carl did fancy Vegas before he retires - and JCC does ridiculous American viewing figures.

I know that, but I can't see Chavez being a great proposition after Golovkin beats him up and knocks him out. Hopkins is much more likely, but he has to beat Shumenov first, then Stevenson's an option and would he really be a big payday? Parsons knows much more than I do, but it seems like Froch is quite rightly after the biggest paydays before he retires, I'm not sure Hopkins really fits into that category.

A motivated DeGale beats Groves. I thought Degale beat him last time

DeGale is a very good boxer and it's a shame that he's not found a promoter he's happy with, he's developed a style where he's happy to sit against the ropes for pretty long spells - I don't think that'd do him any good at all against either Froch or Groves who'd just keep throwing hard punches at him.

Not really, mate. It's just speculation on your part. You don't 'know Groves will see it as easy money' at all.

Eddie Hearn will be loving life. He has 3 top 10 fighters in his stable, in the same division and with world title to boot. He's getting paid this next couple of years.

Great news for British boxing.

Groves doesn't think it's easy money at all. He may think he had DeGale's number, but if anyone knows what a difficult fight it would be it's someone who has spent the past decade competing with him. Stylewise he is also hard work for Froch
