Hopefully allegedly pick up the Hatton show in Sheffield that night then and the Thurman-Diaz card in California.

The main event has to be the most un-anticipated heavyweight championship fight for a long, long time. If I had my own TV station the limit of my bidding for this would be ten quid

Doubt anyone else was willing to pay more than 50p to show a Wladimir fight, won't be any interest outside of Germany will he fights a top 5 heavyweight.

If it's anything like their other live fights, there'll be no analysis or build up. Richie Woodhall and Steve Holdsworth will provide commentary from a studio somewhere, whilst watching the fight on a TV screen.

Then again, this fight is bigger than the usual stuff they show live, so you never know.

Hardly a queue of companies lining up to bid for this show.
Wlad gets away with murder over there and this opponent is not world class.
The only hope is that there's a half decent undercard.

Confirmation, if confirmation were needed, that Wladimir now struggles to draw flies West of the Rhine. He's developed a style that has secured his dominance but it turns an awful lot of people off. Unless he packs it in, he needs some Fury in his life, or next time it might be a case of Vitali filming the fight with his phone and streaming it onto YouTube.

It's not a coup, though, is it? They have bought the rights to something nobody else wanted.

I wonder if this will interrupt Eurosport's coverage of the snooker.

That's my number one priority between the 19th April and the 5th of May. :TU:

But there is lots of decent(ish) bills that nobody wanted. If they pick up all the "rejects" then it could be a half decent boxing channel and good alternate to allegedly.

Next stop could be Caldwell boxing, or we could have Hennessy (maybe)... we could get some of Kathy Duva bills etc.

They've got a Heavyweight world title fight on their for penny's. That's a coup to me when you consider their usual stuff like the Hammer fight tonight...

...I'd rather watch Wlad/Leapai than another bout with Skeete in...but hey somebody keeps showing Skeete

There's a load of other fights on the same show as Skeete that are actually worth watching, Wlad is dull at the best of times, without a good undercard and he's fighting his worst opponent in years.

I'd say your half right, there are loads of other fights on the Skeete card...but really how many are actually worth watching? Tony Conquest v Ovill McKenzie at a push and maybe Eubank Jr v Sandor Micsko.... all the main bouts are mismatches though.

Wlad might be dull but I tend to find Rigo fights often lull towards being dull, Miguel Vazquez and Richar Abril too...dull but extremely good at what they do, win.

ESPN had that live, David Haye was in the studio and Paul Dempsey gave him a pretty hard time.

No Haye was on by himself I think, I remember Frank being on with Tim Witherspoon, can't remember for what fight.

well it's unusual as probably the first time Eurosport have screened a world HW title fight. And even if it's the usual low rent Wlad affair, it's surely no worse than some of the "world title" fights B*allegedly regularly show, including most of the Kllitch brothers fights.
