Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
it makes me wonder about other stuff in that paper if they print articles so obviously full of rubbish.
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
I have met him before, at an Amateur show where he invited himself as a guest of honour, he even got them to introduce him, he believes he is a bit special, it's no wind up, he is serious, he sent me a video of one of his white collar fights, told me how good he was, so I watched it, in the video he charged forward, with no defense, chin up in the air, he got caught a lot and wobbled, his technique was terrible, he told me he was going to South Africa to fight on a world championship show, with Lee Selby on the card, I contacted Lee Selby about himself being on this so called card, he told me that was the first he had heard of it, Suz Member is calling promoters around the world to try and get on their shows, at first they believe him with regards to his high opinion of himself, until they see him on video, he is living in denial about his status, there are plenty of people around who see them selves as something they are not, I am afraid he is one of them. When you lie, the truth comes out of your own mouth, he says he turned down a six figure sum, yet funny enough he is asking for the same amount for others to sponsor him ? Why a six figure sum ? He admits he is not a big named fighter, but if they give him a six figure sum they will be able to call him 24/7 unlike the big name fighters, he is always available for a chat, because he has nothing to do, he is about to go global, well he already is, according to him and he is about to give some big news about his boxing future, was that him signing up to go on the Maltese boxing show, madness.
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
Oh and I almost forgot that he got the Noble Peace price for his humanitarian work all over Africa.

Sounds like the british version of that guy who was all over youtube a while back. Cant remember his name at the moment but you will know him from being the guy who was sparring with Mayweather Snr and took a cheap shot on him before people jumped in the ring and leathered him. lol

Charlie Zelanoff. The man who claims he is like 40-0, but in reality he's 0-1 and he lost to quite possibly the worst pro boxer in the world.Emmseegee wrote:Sounds like the british version of that guy who was all over youtube a while back. Definitely not Adam noob, the music sounds a bit like this Suz lad himself's singing, but I don't think noob has anything to do with him and he definitely isn't Suz Member, noob's white to start with, different areas and ages as well.Sklar wrote:LOL sorry.expe wrote:Where's the video?Sklar wrote:I've found this YouTube video of Suz in training. That fight is hilarious. The quote "on the canvas more times than Rembrandt" springs to mind.DAVE2005 wrote:Here is a interview and a fight Suz had.

According to his PR he's "been hailed as a future world champion" LMFAO!
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
The whole thing was absolutely shocking, announcer, ref, commentator and both fighters were unbelievably bad.DAVE2005 wrote:Here is a interview and a fight Suz had.

Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
The sad thing is,that there are genuinely talented kids out there, who would give their right arm for the press this muppet receives.
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
I honestly think I could find a lad off every estate in the city, shove them in a gym for 6 months and they would probably reach the same standard as him, but he's managed to get paid for fighting and drum up some publicity doing it.DAVE2005 wrote:The sad thing is,that there are genuinely talented kids out there, who would give their right arm for the press this muppet receives.
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
Not even 6 months, it's the world we live in, you get rewarded for being extremely bad, over the top, delusional, like Eddie the Eagle, like the Gay guy on Ex Factor who could not sing, soon member will get his own chat show on Tv, people strive for attention, to be some one, to be famous.expe wrote:I honestly think I could find a lad off every estate in the city, shove them in a gym for 6 months and they would probably reach the same standard as him, but he's managed to get paid for fighting and drum up some publicity doing it.DAVE2005 wrote:The sad thing is,that there are genuinely talented kids out there, who would give their right arm for the press this muppet receives.

Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
I never realized Andrew Flintoff was from an estate
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
From Preston it seems, but now based in Atherton or something where he's a fireman, never heard of him until he made his pro debut though.Anzi wrote:Is he not from your town expe ? Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
Although I do agree, this comedian didn't wake up one day surrounded by publicity - he has drummed it up himself.DAVE2005 wrote:The sad thing is,that there are genuinely talented kids out there, who would give their right arm for the press this muppet receives.
If anything, a lot of boxers could learn a lot from him - if somebody with his skillset can get this much publicity, imagine how much somebody with more talent could generate ?

yeah, thats a good point.still theres only ever so much written about boxing in the local papers, and this mon, seems to taking up all the collum inches.
Re: 0-1 Boxer turns down six figure sponsorship apparently
Thankfully he hasn't had any LEP coverage, apart from a few articles I found from 5 or 6 years ago.DAVE2005 wrote:bripez wrote:Although I do agree, this comedian didn't wake up one day surrounded by publicity - he has drummed it up himself.DAVE2005 wrote:The sad thing is,that there are genuinely talented kids out there, who would give their right arm for the press this muppet receives.
