It's the right weight for him to be honest, he was never a big middleweight and now he's moved down he should be hitting a bit harder and not having to worry about the size difference.columbo wrote:why the hell is he going down to light middle at this stage of his career?! Doesnt make a lot of sense that.expe wrote:11st 2lbs, Lee is going down to light middle, I'd expect the next fight to be for a title of some sort at 11st.columbo wrote: Dunno what to make of Lee! He's got skills I think but seems to end up struggling against guys he shouldnt. Was that at middleweight by the way? I read somewhere that Lee was going down to light middle? I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment.

Frank's right hand looks a bit slow tonight, seems to be suffering from the big build up, not getting into this at the moment
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
good to finally see Buglioni in a test,he will learn plenty from this

Be great to see Franks 2 ticket sellers lose on the same show! Bye bye Copperbox shows!
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Buglioni is going to get starched if he doesn't sort his defence
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Buglioni got exposed badly there. He's got a decent chin on him but that's not good.
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Turned pro in America and at times they do prefer the more traditional weights, so it's possible that's why he went down that route, but he was making 11st 6lbs for non title fights, which is usually an indicator you should be at the weight below.columbo wrote:Yeah but why didnt he do that before? Just seems odd. Also it's probably gonna affect his punch resistance.jameswilson wrote:Well if he can make the weight without feeling drained surely it's better, regardless of what stage he is at in his career. He might have just suddenly lost 5 or 6 pounds naturally.columbo wrote: why the hell is he going down to light middle at this stage of his career?! Doesnt make a lot of sense that.

Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Good call from trainer there, quite right to stop it. Shame for Frank, but also nice to see a fired up challenger from east europe
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Very poor from Buglioni, I gave him a share of two rounds and i thought I was being generous. Looked outclassed tonight, all of the quality punches came from Khomitsky.
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
its good to see competitive fights - sorry for both Fwanks though
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Why would it be good to see them lose? The Copperbox shows are decent and they keep fighters active, why would anyone want to see less shows put on domestically?Boxing Prospect wrote:Be great to see Franks 2 ticket sellers lose on the same show! Bye bye Copperbox shows!

Yep great call from mark tibbs, not sure why the ref didn't stop it

He may have found his level. He got pummelled in that 6th round.Ian1973 wrote:Very poor from Buglioni, I gave him a share of two rounds and i thought I was being generous. Looked outclassed tonight, all of the quality punches came from Khomitsky.

I'm not sure the ref knew what to do, it didn't look like it to me.MR T wrote:Yep great call from mark tibbs, not sure why the ref didn't stop it

To be honest I think Khomitsky looks under-rated. I think people must think Murray was underperforming against him and ok he might have been a little but but maybe not as much as the matchmaker thought.
Does that make any sense?

It's good to see over-hyped guys exposed, it may now actually be a case of putting on more good match ups to sell shows rather than relying on 2 guys with undeserved popularity.expe wrote:Why would it be good to see them lose? Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Well the ref was right to start a count, as the ropes did stop Frank from going down. I don't know why they keep saying he was wrong to do that. But the Ref should of waved it off after the count as Frank was gone, no legs under him.MR T wrote:Yep great call from mark tibbs, not sure why the ref didn't stop it

Getting KO'd after losing most of the rounds is competitive is it?rossij8 wrote:its good to see competitive fights - sorry for both Fwanks though

I think that was too big of a jump to be honest. He should of fought one of the good domestic super middles.jameswilson wrote:To be honest I think Khomitsky looks under-rated. Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
Yep, people put his good performances against Murray down to Murray being below his best, rather than Khomitsky actually being a pretty good fighter and the same goes for his fights against Rhodes and Moore.jameswilson wrote:To be honest I think Khomitsky looks under-rated. I mean in reverse towards the home fighter - most of the time they are home shut outsjameswilson wrote:Getting KO'd after losing most of the rounds is competitive is it?rossij8 wrote:its good to see competitive fights - sorry for both Fwanks though
Re: Conquest vs Mckenzie RBR
I dont particularily rate Mark tibbs as a trainer. He sounds a bit clueless in the corner to me. Obviously his dad is a legend and know's a huge amount but yeah not sold on his son.
