I normally don't have much truck with these things but have to say - WTF!

Eastman at number FOUR despite being an utterly lazy bastard the last two times out and no place for British, Commonwealth and European champion Michael Hunter? Utter rubbish.

All the BBC's top 10 have achieved alot more than haye & Enzo id say and even though Haye looks a better pound for pound fighter than say Eastman, Eastman has fought in a much higher class of opposition. I wouldnt argue with the content but maybe the positioning.

Overall not a bad list, but what Eastman is doing there is beyond me, Clinton Woods has easily beaten better opposition, and acquitted himself far better in his losing effort to Glen Johnson. Eastman showboated and fannied about in two losing efforts to Joppy and Hopkins, then snoozes his way to a loss over Abraham, who he had the beating of.

Not so sure about Hunter, only because not seen enough of him, but his record alone should be enough I guess.

Explain to me how, based on current form and achievements, Eastman gets in your top ten and Hunter doesn't. And don't give me this better class of opposition bollocks. Buckley would be in on that criteria.

Criteria for these things are important obviously. I go on achievement over potential. And I actually think you can go DOWN in the list whilst you are winning. Witter would have been higher for me if he hadn't been terrible recently and has been overtaken by others who have been more impressive. For what it's worth, mine:

I was debating whether or not to go for Moore, Jennings, Kelly, Pickering or maybe even Dann for that tenth one. But I could only squeeze one in. As a compiler of rankings, you should know the difficulties that arise.

I suppose Jennings is the one floater I've picked on potential. Magee needs to re-establish himself and did himself no favours by pulling out of this weekend's bill. Reid is on the way down as is Alexander.

Class of opposition has to be some sort of factor. Ok Eastman has had a bad run lately and has had a lot of criticism for being lazy, but going 12 rounds with THE middleweight champion of the world & at the time No. 1 pound for pound in the world plus a highly tipped up and comer in Abraham who can prove himself even more against Ikeke soon isn't bad even in losing, these are top notch opponents.

Previous to these tricky fights he did defend his British title against current champ Dann and defend his European title a few times.

Don't get me wrong Hunter is a good fighter and would be on the verge of top 10 British P4P, but winning and defending the British super bantam title against not exactly formidable opponents and coming good in a close fight with Pickering would'nt place him above Eastman for me. Hunter being excited and Eastman not doesn't do it for me.

But all our P4P are going to differ. It's subjective and difficult to define, and just my opinion.

Suppose your right on Earl - forgot about that. Still a little annoyed at losing money on the Bennett outcome (which I based on the Burns performance).

It got to be Kelly in the top ten, has to be him. Beaten Booth (who beat Robinson), outclassed Napa (who almost beat Power), undefeated EBU champion. Lost to an outstanding world champion (well he was) - still "looks" world class and could be argued to be the #1 Flyweight and Bantamweight domestically and he done that through actual wins.

Incidently the rankings will be up tonight - couple of changes. Here is my latest P4P. I have shifted Thompson down, but not out of the ten.
