He smashed someone who was well out of his depth and learnt nothing

Personally think due to his matchmaking of the last year he is at least 18 months behind BJS now.

Looked quality, he was always easily going to win that fight but you could hear the snap in his punches and his power looks to be developing well.

yeah 24 is about the right age to be gaining full strength that's why 19 year old heavies are a bit ridiculous.

He looks the sort of person that is confident in developing at his own pace; some people mature and peak early. I think he'll have a good career.

A good fight for Eubank to see where he is at level wise would be Danny Butler for Butler's English title. Although I'm not sure Eubank's management will want to take that fight: Butler is a tough SOB and is on a bit of a tear at the moment.

Looks good when he trades, but someone like Ryder would outwork him.

I find it depressing reading so many hardcore posters saying he looked impressive, powerful blah blah.

It was a mismatch.

Yep, the lad he beat just lost to Zoltan Sera, who came over to fight Joe Selkirk in December and was absolutely shocking. Micsko was a blown up light middleweight who wasn't great anyway, Ryder knocked him out in the second 18 months ago.

Going to come a point very soon where he cant spend half the time strutting about and posing.

How much "time" would he be given if he wasn't Eubanks son....

He'll have to step up soon then we'll find out.

Has he ever fought anybody who'll test him?

Let me rephrase that, has he ever fought anybody who should test him? He didn't always look good on his Channel 5 fights.

I find it depressing that "Hardcore posters" opinions are looked on as good judgement.

So if 1000 of your posts are silly pictures which clutter up threads and about 4 people find funny, then your judgement and opinion on boxing is better than someone with 10 posts? Laughable!

Oh go on amaze us with your wit and reply with another "hilarious" picture  yawn

But your "point"--outside the attack on Gomez--was content-free. Did you think that what you said refuted what he had said?

Did you even want to refute what he said?

I've read your post about five times now & I still can't tell. The only possible reason I can see for your response is if you're mental enough to take Gomez saying "Hardcore posters" as anything other than a comment on his feeling of the relative worth of others' opinions.

I mean, you do know that that's what he meant, right? Rather than attacking people for lack of posts, he was quite obviously saying "I know people who post in this thread, can't believe they'd be dazzled by this, & I do not agree". He was indicating that people whose opinion he respects were surprising him.

How the flying fvck can you get the hump over that? & how did it possibly warrant your response?

& FYI, he actually wrote you a response but obviously didn't deem you worthy of it, so decided to take the piss instead. I'm not sure I should've bothered helping you read either, but there you go.

I would like to put forth the disclaimer that I have not got the hump at all...

I just have this terrible affliction where I can't help but try to help people, & the poor boy seems to have trouble reading.

PS: Also, you have to keep in mind here that I'm the sort of person that would try to solve the problem of a fly on a window by using a lump-hammer.

Oh oh ive incited the "hardcore posters" club

My point was that posting 20000 times on a boxing forum gives you no better credentials than someone who has posted 10 times to have an opinion on a boxing related subject. All it means is they have more free time or have more opinions to share. The OP was implying that only these hardcore posters have the superior boxing knowledge which i explained anyone could simply post junk e.g pictures, gifs, emotions etc just to boost there posts and become one of your elite!

And FYI i saw the original post before it was edited and it basically showed what i was talking about. So it has been edited in an attempted piss take which again isn't funny or boxing forum related.

So by doing this your actually fuelling my argument

Lets get back to the boxing :box:

But his point wasn't that at all--as I've tried to help you ascertain. I'd bet odds to evens that he only said "hardcore posters" to indicate that it was the opinion of people he already knew & respected he was shocked by.

It's only inside your head that this equates to him dissing new people--it quite obviously indicates, not that the opinion of newcomers should be dismissed but that he felt familiar with the opinions of the people who had posted & was surprised at the conclusions they'd reached.

Your extrapolation of this into a discussion of the relative worth of a poster's opinion based on post-count is patently false. It's not what he was saying. It's... kinda obvious it wasn't, which is why I waded in (I'm terrible in pub quizzes, too).

Your terrible at wading in aswell! lol

In fact your wading in, to something you cant actually comment on as your trying to speak for someone. And in your attempt to sound semi intelligent and what you have written is actually bizarre

" he only said "hardcore posters" to indicate that it was the opinion of people he already knew & respected" How could you possibly know what he meant by this? Do you share a brain? And if so why post on a general forum?

"It's only inside your head that this equates to him dissing new people--it quite obviously indicates, not that the opinion of newcomers should be dismissed" Dissing new people was never mentioned, ive been a member almost as long as you both. . . and how did the initial statement "quite obviously indicate newcomers should not be dismissed"? Total fabrication - your actually just making that up

" he felt familiar with the opinions of the people who had posted " Again relating back to this hardcore poster familiarity where all other mere mortals are eliminated from opinion.

Don't reply as your not actually in a position to, i realise you are siding with your big posting friends and trying to defend, but you are coming off looking very silly
