Toronto is not exactly on a remote island. It's closer to New York than Pittsburgh is. I'm sure finding sparring partners wasn't too difficult.

Il Duce, could you please tell me how good was George Chuvalo? What was his strength and weakness? I know that his strength was body attack with good left hooks and an all-time great chin and one of his weaknesses was that he was prone to cuts after he took punches from the best heavyweights in his time. :bag:

Il Duce, could you please tell me how good was George Chuvalo before you post something else? What was his strength and weakness? I know that his strength was body attack with good left hooks and an all-time great chin and one of his weaknesses was that he was prone to cuts after he took punches from the best heavyweights in his time. I was just asking this before I repeat this message. :bag:

Tell me Il Duce, was Chuvalo's style a walking slugger/puncher and in the evidence from his fights with Ali, Foreman, Frazier and other great fighters, he fought like a swarmer. Is it true?

Chuvalo's athleticism gets vastly under-rated nowadays. He could put together very quick combinations and had a strong fast jab. His big weakness was a lack of head/upper body movement and slow feet, although in that instance he was the prototype for flat-footed pressure guys of the 90s and beyond like Mercer, Cooper, Rahman, and Peter, although George was always in much better shape than those guys.

Best thing you can do is go on Youtube yourself and watch some of his fights. He was a much better boxer than given credit for. And I still think he beat Floyd Patterson.... :DD
