Makes me laugh when posters on here cry out about that was a illegal blow!! When in a fight you throw what you can & it's your opponents duty to make you miss! & the stoppage was caused by a punch to the back of the head
i think the holding was more Price trying to adapt to a situation, learn how to survive and buy time to regain his composure rather than being genuinely hurt.
He didn't waste energy trying to fight fire with fire and thats a damn good thing.
Also he looked a lot calmer after dropping Pala the first time, again not wasting energy.

I think that was just instinctive and something Brooks has probably been working a lot in the gym with him on.

Fury is certainly a big enough puncher to take most guys out, its just when he brawls he lacks the composure or technique to fire off proper hurtful shots and ends up cuffing/slapping his opponent.
I'd take Fury over Price as it stands , Fury goes to the body as well as any heavyweight in the world and he'd certainly hurt him and wear him down from that, especially when you take into consideration Price's questionable stamina.

X 2 never a dull moment. It may have been a forearm, but it still shook up the big man - him & Fury has always been a case of who ever lands first - Fury has a much better chin, but Dave has the punch. I'd back Fury right now as he has confidence & DP is still rebuilding
I agree that it would be a case of who lands first in Fury v Price. I couldn't see it going beyond 3 rounds that's for sure.
Will be interesting to see where Price goes next. That fight was a decent step up from the previous one. I wonder whether they may give him one more fight against a guy of similar ability to Pala and then put him in with the loser of Fury v Chisora (which is likely to be Chisora). Either would be a fight that would sell out the Echo Arena or even the MEN or O2 for sure.
I believe Fury will win because he will take more risks, therefore land first. Saying that, it could always leave him open to a big right hand (alla Cunningham and Pajkiv). Exciting fight if it ever happens
The best thing to happen to Fury was David Price losing to Tony Thompson , i like Fury but for me he hasnt beaten anyone as good as Thompson and i would still favour Price to beat him , Yes Fury has proven he can come of the floor to win but hes never been hit by anyone with anything remotley like Prices power, i fully agree whoever lands first will win I just believe that would be Price!

I agree with this.
Fury loves a fight and Price doesn't, however Price does have power and if Fury gets giddy rushing in he could leave himself exposed to a big shot.
It would be a shame if this fight didn't happen. It could really be built up to be a big fight and is surely the biggest fight money wise for both fighters, and both can come again (a defeat or 2 hasn't done Chisora much harm in getting opportunities).
Dunno about Price as I've never met him, but Tyson was next to me at the Newcastle Arena show in Newcastle in March. He's not 6"9 IMO.
I'm 6"4 and he was around 3 inches taller.
As much as I'd prefer Price to win should the two of them meet I would favour Fury currently. Fury is reckless and easy to hit himself but he does hit harder than Tony Thompson & is mentally a lot stronger right now.
Before the Thompson fights I was sure Price would beat Fury but now, I'm edging slightly with Fury if the two were to meet in the ring right now. It may change fight to fight with the styles they have.
The main reason is that Fury has handled the bigger stage better than Price. Also the way Prices legs went on saturday night at the knockdown, lead me to believe that he'll be over plenty more times in his career, as will Fury no doubt! Exciting match if it ever comes to light.
That punch/clip whatever it was - definitely back of the head but still worrying how he buckled so easily from being clipped. He's just got such low punch resistance for a big man.
Also if you watch carefully, the second half of round 2, he's blowing massively again, taking in massive deep breaths. He just seems either a) so anxious that he uses massive amounts of energy up really quickly or b) just has woeful stamina.
Nothing new in this fight to see, same old price he'll get chinned again or gas out next proper fight he has.

Just watched it. Pala ha a real go and must have been shocked to the core when he was nailed. David was woeful in the 1st round. Glad that he got it together in the 2 and actually threw a some decent jabs. More jab work needed.

Have to agree with all this - they are two massive Achilles heels, that will be exposed time and time again by all the better fighters he faces.
His power and reach will always make him a live underdog in any fight ... But the fact he went down sooooo many times as an amateur should have made his punch resistance no surprise at all. After all a seventeen year old Fury put Price on his backside when they fought.
