Reminds me a lot of seeing Benn announce his retirement after the Malinga fight and welling up in the ring. I think in boxing far too many guys carry on for too long because of how addictive the buzz of boxing professionally must be.

Also the problem of not knowing what to do afterwards, a lot of lads come from rough backgrounds and lack the qualifications and experience to get a job afterwards, not knowing how you're going to pay the bills anymore must be hard, I know they wouldn't give Rendall his old job back on the bins, so now he'll have to find a new line of work, hopefully he sticks around the game.

I think most fighters will have that sort of moment after they retire, it just hit Munroe at that point that his career was over, I'm sure it's sunk in for others a bit later and the tears have come in the changing room or at home.

Quigg up next. I will be glad to get rid of the bad taste that Quigg's last fight left in the mouth, a brutal one-sided beating dressed up as a title fight.

Munyai's come in short notice, but he's been in the country for a couple of months, sparring Martin Ward and is now based here, Quigg will have to be on his game to avoid an upset.

Munroe had some excellent wins, Martinez and battered Terrazas to the body and stopped him.
The most memorable for me was watching him live in Japan. He got outclassed and took a shellacking but Nishioka couldn't get him out of there. That night took it all away from Rendall for me.

Smith put Bastient down with a wicked right uppercut to the body as Francois came steaming in,he got up but his corner threw in the towel,good call as Bastient crumpled to his knees after it was stopped
