Just Fast Eddie being a promoter, the scoundrel!

He should've said "Yeah that was all right, but I reckon Marsili would do him, so he ain't even the best lightweight in Europe", obviously. 'Cos that's what boxing promoters do.

No.... just rightfully praised this performance and say he is maturing and not the fighter who fought Derry Matthews first time.

Watt is getting criticised, but Paul Smith had the fight level after 6 and still had the level at the time of stoppage. Moore had them level after 6 and just 1 round up at the time of the stoppage.

Oh - spoke to soon, Moore just called Crolla world class.

I think there'll be great 2 way action. I can't see crolla staying with murray head to head - he's far too strong - but if crolla boxes within himself, uses his lighter feet to get in and then out, and mix in the hard shot now and again...he can make his mark later on, get that extra time and space, and if things go his way, try to start backing murray up.
Worth bringing this up again, bang on!

He's a work in progress, columbo. I'm not sure whether we had this discussion b4 but I think he's a genuine late-developer and I certainly think he will beat Burns if it comes off. Maybe a fight with Burns would be good for Ant. No doubt he wants to jump in for a world title next fight but I think a fight with Burns first would be better for him.
No doubt he's improving, but unless Burns is completely shot he doesn't stand a chance. Crolla's best weapon is his jab, but Burn's jab is far better and Crolla isn't slick enough and doesn't hit hard enough to break Burns down. Too big, too strong and too good, world level vs domestic level. Crolla would be better off going in with Mitchell, Coyle or Marsili right now.

I'd like to see that. I think they're being moved in different directions though. Mitchell fighting in a final eliminator for the IBF strap (Guy he's fighting looks pretty good aswell and is unbeaten although against shit opponents)

Mitchell falls apart at world level, but below that he looks class. Mitchell would certainly be the favourite and I would back him to beat Crolla on points, at his best he's a really classy boxer, it takes something special to knock him out of that and I'm not sure Crolla possesses that, solid, compact fighter, good defensively with a bit of pop in his punches, but Mitchell does everything that Crolla does, only better, I wouldn't put it past him to end the fight inside the distance either.

Hearn's trying to move Burns, Mitchell, Crolla and Coyle towards world title fights, at some point at least one combination of those will have to fight each other. Burns is going down the WBC route, Mitchell the IBF, Crolla's fighting for WBO trinkets, but Top Rank seem to have big plans for Crawford and Anthony Crolla won't be one of them, Coyle was going to fight Mitchell, but was rightly held back, Stephen Ormond's another going down the WBO route. There's so many fighters about domestically, Buckland, Rees, Mathews, Gethin and Flanagan can all be added to that list, that they're going to have to fight one another to get to world titles, apart from Burns who's proved himself at that level and has the drawing power to get a champion over to fight him.

That probably tells us that they have to fight each other, but that's bad promoting.

I've not seen Mitchell box, at least not that I'm aware of, his name doesn't stick in my mind, so I can't say, but I've seen Burns last 3 fights and yes I do think he's shot. A couple of years ago Crolla would have had difficulty to say the least but now I think he has too much for what's left of Burns.
I've seen all Crolla's fights since the prizefighter thing and he has improved with every fight. He wasn't blessed with obvious outstanding talent and yet the way he's come on year by year I have to think that if he got the right title fight he would have a chance (but not yet, he should fight Burns first and get a chance to improve and learn a little more).

Terry O'Conner is a clueless buffoon, take a look at John Murray's face as he gets up after that knock down, he'd had enough and there was no point sending him in for more, but fat Tel asks him if he wants to continue and lets him take a good few more blasts to the head for good measure.

Terry O'Connor wants to learn to get his arse out of the way of the camera I was sick of him blocking the view. Lets face it it's not the most petite of arses either is it?

How much would a loss against Abril hurt Crolla? It's worth going for.
