WOW. I was just going to post that a couple minutes ago and pulled up Google images of them to view the similarities. Porter to me is a jacked Pryor
There's certain similarities there I think.

Malignaggi might retire after that one. That's about as bad as it gets. Definitely the worst he's ever been beaten.
Whilst not a huge puncher, I think Porter hits harder than his record suggests. He rocked Alexander numerous times in their fight and Paulie normally has a very good chin.
It was the footspeed that impressed me, helped along by Paulie backing up in straight lines with his hands down, but he really closed the gap quickly. Need to keep him turning, make him keep resetting his feet and pick him off while he's doing it.

Totally off topic but Jason Gavern has just said that he's fighting Anthony Joshua on the Froch-Groves 2 bill.

He wasn't lunging in, apart from with the hook, but that was because Paulie was wide open, most of it was just excellent footwork, backed up by a snapping jab, all very controlled.

Cano probably deserved the decision over Malignaggi, but nobody talks about him. Broner is flawed, but has talent

Hopefully this stoppage speeds up the start of the main event.

He definitely seems like a guy who really got the fire under his ass when Championships came into the picture. He looked WAY better in that Alexander fight than he had ever looked before, and he upped that level even more tonight.

He looked really great in there tonight.

Yeah he's quick on his feet and has pretty quick hands aswell. Brook will probably have a big size advantage on Porter but then again he competed at 165 as an amateur.

I'd like to see Porter in against Danny Garcia or Matthysse before talking about him facing Thurman. I'm not sure he beats either guy to be honest.

Last predictions on the main event? I've had a weird feeling all week that Shumenov gets a stoppage win. Hope not. I'd like to see Hop vs winner of Stevenson/Fonfara

I think the Paulie should retire talk is a little premature. Porter was impressive. It wasnt Paulie looking slow or anything,

How do you think Brook would do against Porter?

He doesn't normally get caught like that and he's never been beaten up like that, a fighter with his power should not be fighting with his hands down, at 33 he has nothing to prove, there won't be many more opportunities coming up and he has the commentating to fall back on. No point carrying on for shit money against fighters who weren't fit to lace his gloves a few years ago.

I dont think Paulie has fought many guys with the speed of foot like Porter though aside from Khan and Hatton in his prime.
