Newcastle Arena Undercard 7th June Hall v Butler

Post by Clint Magnum »

Anyone got any info yet on the undercard to the Hall v Butler IBF fight?
I'm assuming John Lewis Dickenson will be defending his title, strong rumour it'll be against Ovil McKenzie.
Would expect another showing of FW fighters Saunders, Leather etc but no word yet on whether the Gateshead show in end of May will be cancelled to accomodate this show?

For the last Arena show they merged the two shows which meant the first two fights of the night were held before the fans were allowed in the Arena & then two further fights were squeezed onto the show well after midnight when most fans had left!

Saunders v Daws should be on this bill, needs to be managed a little better this time round as you say with time constraints.

People going home before the show has ended is pretty common (and I always think unfair on the fighters!) I've been at shows where the fights start bang on entry time, but never BEFORE. That's just odd to the max.

I heard about this last week, I was talking to a lad who told me a good chunk of tickets had been sold by the boxers and nobody could get in!
