Ratings. How are they calculated?
I've been following different boxers rankings and although the message says when you click on ratings that all rankings are calculated from the boxers records and no other opinion is considered. I have not been able as yet to determind how the points are awarded as it is clear that the rankings are not determinded strickly by wins and loses. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

Well Dave, I'll try. A fighter gets more points for beating a quality opponent (ie..someone who has beaten other quality opponenets) than he does for beating just losers.
Example: Maurice Harris has beaten some quality fighters so even though he has a lot of losses he is rate much higher than Butterbean who has a much better record but has beaten no quality fighters.
That has probably confused more than helped but it is the best I can do.
