Every time you see the access all areas you never see mayweather doing any track work, does anyone know what running floyd does? Distance? Sprints? Etc.

All I know is that he does his road work during the night rather than in the morning. I have seen some videos of him jogging at a steady pace, at a fast pace and also reverse jogging slowly whilst shadow boxing. I have not seen any fast sprints. He was also seen doing some road work in a HBO 24/7 episode.

Pretty sure he various his runs. Long distance, sprints, intervals, like most championship fighters do. I wouldn't be worried about him not running on a telly show. Not evidence he's skipping track work. A boxer running is not exactly gold entertainment

Good question. On 24/7 (think it was for hatton fight) he said he ran 8 miles 6 days a week. Seems excessive mileage and not enough sprint work. But half of what he says isn't entirely true...

You get boxers that say they do 3000 sit-ups a day etc when they clearly don't

I'm guessing he doesnt run as much these days to save his legs now that he's older. He'll make up for that in other ways though i'm sure.

Exactly, track/road running puts a lot of strain on your ankles and knees, it's not actuallygood for you compared to high intensity gym workouts even though it's a traditional method for boxers to sustain cardio levels. I get the feeling Mayweather works ridiculously hard in the gym instead, remember him saying he wakes up at 2am sometimes to do intense workouts so his body never gets used to a routine.

I'm putting a fiver on Maidana just for shits and giggles and at the very least think he'll give Mayweather the closest and hardest fight he's had since De La Hoya. (Reckon the Alvarez fight flattered Floyd and think Canelo was really tight at the weight).
