He may not be elite but he's a good solid Welter who is active, on a winning streak and coming off a confidence boosting win. Although Khan has done very well against boxers and southpaws in the past, I feel he may have already peaked and in his last two bouts he looked like a fighter who is either on the decline or at the very least not showing any improvements under his new trainer. His fragile chin has looked even worse since the Garcia defeat. Collazo may not be a puncher but I'm sure he hits hard enough to hurt Khan. Khan says the break has done him good, but to me an inactive fighter with a shaky chin moving up a weight division against a bigger man with momentum behind him is a recipe for disaster.

For the record, I have staked £1,200 on Collazo to win at varying levels from 7/2 down to 11/4. I'm not saying it's guaranteed money and I know it's not impossible that Khan could come out and box his way to an easy decision, but at the odds I think Collazo is as worthy a bet as I've seen. If Khan wins I'll be a bit disappointed but will have no regrets.
You flash sod :OhYes:
I thought Collazo as soon as i heard the fight been made hut i think the value bet is Khan at 3/1 for KO. Each to there own though. Ive bet big before on the boxing, never lost on big bets. Good Luck.

It's not as though Collazo is on a mad roll of excellent wins; he beat Ortiz who had been knocked out and stopped in his previous 2 fights against Mayweather and Lopez. Collazo has not been the most active and hasn't set the world on fire when he has boxed. People are crowing like the bookies are fools and Collazo is a sure thing. I think Khan will show a gulf in class and speed that has been shown to Collazo before - Mosely.

Always betting well within the bankroll, my man. To the chagrin of many, I'm never going to lose my shirt on a single bet. But I'll gladly come to the soup kitchen and help out, make sure Anzi has a nutritious Christmas. :TU:

i've lumped a bit on Collazo inside 9. Insured somewhat with a treble of Broner KO + Khan Dec + Floyd Dec so if results go as they are 'supposed to', then i won't be reeling.

Pretty much this. I expect Collazo to catch Khan with a counter somewhere in the mid rounds.

Peculiar post.

Especially considering Collazo sparked out Victor Ortiz in 2 rounds just 10 weeks ago !

Khan vs Diaz was precisely 1 year and 5 days ago.

Khan has looked tepid and gun-shy under Hunter. His offence was his defence, and that's now been taken away.

Khan under Hunter has really, really gone backwards, it's amazing how much natural talent Ward must have.

Ward was a high school wrestling champion, and basically an all-round athlete.

Everyone else trained by Hunter is crap.

I forecast he gets the bullet after Saturday night.

I've always thought that fighters make trainers in most cases. It doesnt matter how knowledgeable you are, if you have shit to work with you're not going to achieve much.

Ive just got a feeling, I know Khan is always vulnerable and when i heard the match was made I thought Collazo would demolish him but since thinking about it, That was not the Victor Ortiz of old, Khan would've had him out in similar fashion had Khan been in the opposite corner.

I honestly think Khan KO is the better value bet at 3/1 than Collazo for the win. But Ive bet on Khan before and lost so who fecking knows!

Ps how long do think Khan will blame his lack of punch resistance and legit knockout power on the weight he's fighting at? When he was at lightweight and moved up to 140 he said that he was killing himself to make weight and that he'll be a serious puncher and his chin will be much better at 140. Now he's saying the same thing now he's moved up to welterweight. I wonder if we could see him at light heavy in the near future if this theme continues :OhYes:

I try to ignore 'feeling' when it comes to laying a bet.

Even Khan on his best day (which are far behind him) would have a torrid time with a crafty, tough southpaw like Collazo.

Luis has a chance to hit the financial big time, he's prepared diligently and has always been a better fighter than Judah & Malignaggi as far as NYC goes.

He's practically a middleweight on the night and he's coming to win.

Whereas Khan is already fat with loot and is on a promise with Floyd. Also sources I know have watched him spar and are not blown away either.

Khan has the tools to win this, definitely.

But those tools are blunt under hunter / inactivity and he's bound to get carried away on the night and walk into something.

He'll say these things regardless of who he fights and at what weight.

He states in Boxing News that he's the only one with the skills and speed to beat Floyd and that it would be a very technical fight. Hmmm yes I see....

I've never really understood it when people say Khan has great boxing ability. He has great Athleticism but the former is a load of BS.

Agreed. This is definitely Khans to lose. If he hasn't prepared well and box's recklessly Collazo can cause the upset. If it goes to type Khan should win this easily. But Khans "type" usually involves a few dramas. Sit back and enjoy.

When has Khan ever really not boxed recklessly though? He's not slick at all.

:TU: A lot of people equate his 'speed' with 'skills' and 'boxing ability'. Khan is a fast-handed fighter with no smarts, no real defensive capability, no brain.

im thinking Khan to win by Body shot at some point, a few fast flurry to head followed by good body shot

its a intresting one though if callazo still has something about him.

Probably never but I did say that at the end of my post that regardless of what Khans plans are there are always Dramas. I also never said he was slick. I said he has the tools to beat Collazo.

Are you just reading want you want to read?

No offence like.
