a small man can beat a bigger man

Post by biglefthook »

went to an unlicensed fight the other day, guy about 5 foot 8 14 stone fought a guy at 18 stone and 6 foot 5.
both were decent level and hated each other,
the big guy was alot stronger but it was 8x2 minit rounds
the smaller guy danced around and the big guy nearly had him going but the smaller guy wore him down and won on poinnts

makes me think the saying a good big man beats a small man is not true.

it aint the size of the dog in the fight its the size of the fight on the dog

So a little guy who was a bit better beat a bigger guy , what happens when a bigger guy who's a bit better fights the little guy ..

Theres one thing i learnt a long looong time ago , THERES A REASON FOR WEIGHT DIVISIONS . ,

It's about levels plain & simple! If your a big fat pudding with no stamina a smaller guy can beat you & especially if he's more skilled.

In a boxing ring with Queensbury rules a good big man beats a good little man.

On the cobbles in a dirty go it could be different.

It didn't work for Nobuhiro Ishida, 8 months ago he was 160lbs, in his next fight he weighed 206lbs and took on heavyweight Kyotaro Fujimoto all 232lbs of him.
Ishida lost a narrow points decision. Ishida is famous for stopping James Kirkland at 154lbs.
