Abraham vs some mug
Abraham vs some mug
I have a stream so I'll do a half assed rbr for anybody vaguely interested. Abraham coming into some terrible metal. Other came into some European hip hop. Now we're getting some national anthems that sound as if somebody's died.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Abraham looking very bored during introductions.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Some alright body shots from Abraham, bringing Some Mug's guard down. Some mug paws with his jab. 1-0 Abraham.

Re: Abraham vs some mug
some mug, whom went the distance with bika, just won 2. round !
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Some Mug opens up a bit. Most of it is caught on Abraham's gloves but some decent shots get through. Decent body shot. Abraham does almost nothing. Some Mug wins on workrate. 1-1
Re: Abraham vs some mug
yeah I checked his record on boxrec too!Butterbean wrote:some mug, whom went the distance with bika, just won 2. round !
I could probably give him round 2 as well, although Abraham came to life a bit. Can see it for either guy.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Yeah. Fourth for AA. Hart shots landing, plenty of body shots. Sjekloca is throwing, but is mostly just hitting AA's usual high guard.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Abraham has abandoned the body work and is head hunting now. I guess he wants the KO. I think he should have stuck to the body for another round but he takes the 5th again anyway. Not hard to score. I don't think the other dude has anything to trouble him.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Looking a bit sloppy in there. AA gets that round too. I'm probably gonna give up scoring.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Sjekloca cut under the eye. Seems to be able to take everything AA throws at him though. Still losing.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
AA, finally deciding this kid can't hurt him, abandoning his defense and trying to land big shots. Crowd sort of gets excited. Nothing really lands of any consequence. now for the 12th
Re: Abraham vs some mug
I stopped scoring after about eight, but I had Sjekloca winning at that point. I thought that was wide, especially the 119-110 card.
It was 116-112, 116-113, 119-110 for Abraham by the way for anyone who was wondering.

Yep. I thought Abraham just wasn't doing enough. I did think he was coming on better as the fight progressed, but it certainly wasn't a great performance to me.clopixolacuphase wrote:Really?!Bobbyptsd wrote:I stopped scoring after about eight, but I had Sjekloca winning at that point. And I'm a big fan of his, so I don't think I'm biased in a negative way, he just wasn't active enough in my view.
I don't know what score I'd wind up with unless I rewatch it, and I'm not itching to. It's a fight I could potentially see him winning, but I have a hard time with 119-110
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Oh he definitely wasn't doing much, the other kid was more active but he just wasn't landing. Abraham was blocking most of it and what did get though didn't have much pop on it. Abraham was conservative but when he threw, for the most part he landed. I'm not an Abraham fan but I take an interest in SMW especially as Abraham has the WBO, and I thought he clearly won that.
It was pretty boring, I didn't really enjoy it. I personally see Abraham as the weakest title holder. If Groves loses to Froch (I keep on switching as to who I think is going to win. At the moment I'm going with Froch) I think that's a natural alternate route for a title.

Don't forget that Bika has a belt too. Assuming Ward doesn't do anything in the near future, a Bika-Abraham "unification"(I feel silly using that word here) could also be a good fight.clopixolacuphase wrote:Oh he definitely wasn't doing much, the other kid was more active but he just wasn't landing. Bika's strength and wild pressure against Abraham's more conservative and accurate approach could be interesting.

I wouldnt be surprised if Kessler comes back and fights abraham for the belt.Bobbyptsd wrote:Don't forget that Bika has a belt too. Re: Abraham vs some mug
I had forgotten about Kessler. He'd definitely need to be factored in should he choose to return.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
some mug ? Sjekloca is europian and world championship medalist, and had proven himself in ring with some good fighters. Hate bums like you that have no respect for warriors, douchebag.

Re: Abraham vs some mug
lacklustre fight. But abraham was fighting with two broken fingers. He didn't want to let his promoter down.
That said, it was a gift opponent and Abraham desperately needs a new trainer. Nice to see him jabbing a lot though in the last four rounds. Shame he didn't have a right hand to capatlise on that.

I agree with the first part of your statement. He is a professional fighter and deserves better as far as how he's referred to.Cela wrote:some mug ? As to the second part, you might want to work on being a bit more diplomatic. Throwing insults around isn't helping anyone respect others more, I'm sure of that.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
Initially I titled the thread that with a bit of humour, and also the way we use the word 'mug' in my social group is just to describe somebody you've never heard of or don't know. eg: "What's Bobby up to?" "I dunno he's chatting to some mug at the bar."Bobbyptsd wrote:I agree with the first part of your statement. I suppose people see the term as meaning the same as "bum" which I didn't really think about.
If you read the thread you'll probably notice I do start to refer to him by his proper name as the fight goes on, which was my way of maybe giving him the respect that maybe I felt a bit guilty about not giving him to start off with....
That said I don't think douchebag is that bad an insult either. I think it's kinda funny. If he'd have called me c*nt I'd have been upset! But yeah, bang to rights I probably should have been more respectful. No argument there.
Re: Abraham vs some mug
That's understandable. I think the way people refer to fighters on here sometimes isn't very dignified, but I get that you meant that in more of a colloquial sense here.clopixolacuphase wrote:Initially I titled the thread that with a bit of humour, and also the way we use the word 'mug' in my social group is just to describe somebody you've never heard of or don't know. eg: "What's Bobby up to?" I mainly made that point to respond to our friend up there anyway. Figured he could benefit from perhaps bringing things from a more cordial perspective.
