Every single fight going back as far as his days fighting for domestic baubles at lightweight, a certain pair come out with the exact same bullshit for every Khan fight. It's interminable, it's mean-spirited, it bears no relation to consensus reality & after you've read it, oh, a dozen times on here it gets fvcking boring really quickly.
Nearly every fight they are proved wrong, & that their ridiculous anti-Khan bias is just... Well, a ridiculous anti-Khan bias. If the pudenda in question didn't hoot so much, if they didn't denigrate the fighter in question so much, if they didn't pompously talk up every single fighter he faces with snide comments in the environs that "So & so is a proper fighter & proper fighters beat Khan by default because you see he isn't a proper fighter"...
Well, maybe just then I'd have some time for your playground nose-thumbing, crusader.
But I haven't, because I have read Riddick Blowe's pudendum like appraisals of Khan ever since the lad came out the Olympics.
So, yeah, I'm wise after the fact. But I tell you this: I'll be wise after the fact RE: Blowe & Khan, because I'd rather be wise after the fact & fair to a very good, exciting British fighter than be a boring fvcking one-note near-troll for deep-seated psychological reasons that the dude in question obviously can't face--& I make that final reference just because he has never once confronted his own dislike of the fighter, given the boy credit, admitted he was ever wrong or in any way acted as anything less than a deluded fuckhead regarding Khan, & frankly his hysterical hatred that comes pouring out every time he writes about him (the glee he takes in seeing him get hurt, the sneering questioning of his legitimacy as a fighter & also as a man that he delights in dropping in every time he mentions the boy's name) makes it very easy indeed to see other reasons behind his vehemence & his prejudice.
So. Yeah. Check where you're at before you come steaming in, desperate to put the parochial fan-base back in its place. Or you know, use the fuckin' search function & find out why people might react a certain way to a certain (bunch of) poster(s) when it's "that time" again.

Hit the nail on the head, with every point, well said mate, Khan has done wonders for british boxing, world titles and very exciting, who will fight the best out there, without fear, we have a fighter with Khan that even the Americans believe in, for crying out loud, not to mention it was Khan'a heroics in the Olympics, when no one thought he could even get a medal, that secured the funding for GB boxing, without him , we might not have had the success since, give credit where it is due.

Welter is a very strong division and Porter and Thurman are excellent fighters. Khan is an excellent fighter and he boxed very well to beat Collazo - who many thought would beat him.
If Khan is a cock outside the ring, so what? There are other British World Champions who are also cocks out of the ring but get a pretty free ride.
I trust all the talk of Brook beating Khan will disappear into the ether - Khan is proven a full level above Brook, both at light welter and welter.
Nige is loved on here for who he was in the ring. I like Khan for the same reason, what he gets up to out of it, well we'd all be doing it wouldn't we?

Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
Still haven't seen the fight due to a house move and subsequent cancellation of allegedly. I backed Khan to lose and will continue to do so if he is priced up as a very short priced favourite against anyone who is a solid welterweight. If he fights some of the people mentioned in this thread Porter, Brook, Madaina again etc and he is priced at odds on, then it is more a case of the bookies being scared of losing money to Khan fans than it being a correct price. Similar to any popular fighter with a loyal fanbase.
I wouldn't consider myself a hater of anyone but i'd agree that i'm a doubter of Khan mainly because he has lost more than he has won against the best of his weight categories. If he continues to win impressively, i'm sure my doubts will disappear

You must of lost a lot of money mate, Khan has only lost about 3 fights, in his career and he has not lost more fights against the best at his weight, then he has won. Peterson (close decision including points deducted) & Garcia (fair and square big K.O but Khan was blitzing him early on) = 2 losses at world level.
Barrera (past his best I know), Kotelnik (borderline), Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, Diaz (borderline) & Collazo = 7 wins at world level.

Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
I'd dispute that he's lost more than he's won against the best of his weight. You're also forgetting the prices on him losing. Garcia was 4/1 to beat Khan and Peterson was also around that price.Anzi wrote:You must of lost a lot of money mate, Khan has only lost about 3 fights, in his career and he has not lost more fights against the best at his weight, then he has won. Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
Barrera at that stage was not world level at the weight, he had no chance. I wouldn't consider Diaz world class at the weight either and we all heard Khan's opinion of Kotelnik before the fight. I did think Maidana & Judah would win but not Malignaggi as he was not one of the best at lww. Khan is no bum and it will take a very good fighter to beat him but i still don't consider him one of the v best at any weight he's fought at yet. Hatton, Calzaghe, Lewis and Haye (cruiser) are the only Brits in my recent memory who have been able to say that with any confidence.danamba7 wrote:Not true.freddydoesdallas wrote:Still haven't seen the fight due to a house move and subsequent cancellation of allegedly. As mentioned above, to anzi, when his opponent is 4/1 there's value.
Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
I agree there's a couple of debatable ones but I'd still say Khan is the only other Brit to come at least slightly close to those 4 fighters you mentioned. I just feel certain fighters get it a lot easier than others. You could probably pick apart Hatton's career if you really wanted to, biggest win was against a fading Kostya Tszyu & he got KO'd at the highest level Vs Mayweather and Pacquiao. I don't necessarily agree with that last statement but just trying to get the point across that people seem to down-play Khan a lot more than others for some reason.freddydoesdallas wrote:Barrera at that stage was not world level at the weight, he had no chance. Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
It's easy to jump on someone's obvious flaws and faults, maximise them and minimise their positive attributes. After the showing v collazo on sat khan has done the right thing in moving to welter. I think he's a really good fighter and he's got time on his side to improve further.
Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
excellent last 2 posts and yes 4/1 is a good price for a 2 horse race, but you don't need to justify, what is just a punt, by playing down the form horse.
Re: Khan ,haters and doubters
Khan is quality in the ring. He is always one punch away from having to go life and death with any fighter he gets in the ring with and isn't afraid of getting stuck in when he's in trouble. He's faced a bunch of world level guys now and done a number on a good portion of them too. His resume stacks up pretty well, and at 140 he faced a good bunch of the top 10 fighters during his time there, so win or lose, its hard to fault his effort.
All of the talk about him being a clown outside the ring and all of that stuff, is bollocks and the same shite as most British fighters seem to get these days. It always seems bizarre to me to see fans go out of their way to criticise and laugh at a kid like Khan, who is clearly not the brightest kid on the planet, for making the odd childish or misplaced remark. He's a young man in his 20's who's spent his life in the gym rather than classroom, he's allowed to sound like a muppet now and then. Besides, there are wife beaters, drug cheats and degenerate scum bags in our sport who don't pull as much stick as Khan. It all seems a bit misplaced to me.

Why start a thread titled "Khan, haters and doubters" ?Anzi wrote:Brilliant performance against Collazo, so called beast, showed his doubters that. he is still a force in boxing, whilst the haters will still hate, many of them are broke today
Instead of being negative, why not be positive and start a thread about "great performance from Khan" or something.
As in life, positivity attracts positivity (and vice versa) - it is almost as if you were hoping to start an argument, which I am sure is not the case ......
