I thought a big part of the islamic faith was displaying modesty and humility in regards to money, ie not flashing it about.
Exactly, Khan is a walking contradiction. Like a lot of people who follow religion.
Whats strange about it, he's not a monk? I celebrate christmas and had my son christened catholic not long ago, im not married and i use a johnny when having sex - 2 no no's of the catholic church. People have varying degrees of religiousness.

Modesty and humility is a part of the christian faith too but it doesnt stop PBF thanking god whilst bragging about himself.

Some of these comments i see about khan and islam seem to have a bit of an agenda to them.

Khans chin is glass. I could knock him out after 20 pints of lager.

I thought there was also a get out clause to Ramadan.

To the OP - because of his speed and work rate, yes.

Khan's main weakness is his chin and recklessness. Mayweather is not a puncher (not legitimately cause a stoppage since Hatton) and he seems to be getting his recklessness under control

There are get out clauses to Ramadan, however I'm not sure if work/making a load of money is one of them, old age, ill health and pregnancy are all seen as acceptable reasons for not fasting, but like I say I don't know if a big money fight would be seen as a reason to not take part in one of the key events of the faith, which from my limited experience is centred around simplicity and humbleness, a multi million pound showbiz extravaganza doesn't really fit in with it very well.

there are two problems with that foto. The wad of cash and the c*nt that sold/ publicized it. And they aren't even that bad. What do you want him to do, get a taxi to the hotel, ring his Mum then lights out at 01.30? Come on get real.

Provided he doesn't A) turn into Broner B) stick it in some slapper or C) turn into Broner (which there's no chance of) - then there's no problem.

I thought he had already stuck it in a variety of slappers?

Amir got his shit back together against Collazo....which was good to see. It's certainly been a while!

And I do believe that Old Father Time is now beginning to lurk in the outer corridors of Floyd's mansion. I did not buy into his opinion that he chose to give us a bit of long overdue entertainment by opting to stay in front of Marcos....Maidana got close to FMJ and landed his shots without needing any charity hand-out or Floyd granting him the privilege.

Having said that; I am not sold on Khan beating Floyd.

I think he's looked like that for awhile to me. He's used his legs a lot less over the last couple of years I'd say. Maidana just has that relentless style that is going to exploit something like that aswell. You have to fight Maidana like Khan did which is constant movement.

I only saw about the internet wank thing that the Sunday rag got him with. Good journalism that. Man computer wanks to tits - man they got him good!

Now, I'm sure the Muslims disagree with many things, such as strippers, alcohol and gambling. Many, many Muslims/ Asian lads I see at Khan fights forego the alcohol. I put it to this Forum that Khan merely needed some ready cash to get himself a couple of lemonades and that's why he was carrying some money around with him. His money, I see no problem.

Agree he has, speed, even faster then Dela hoya who gave Mayweather problems with hand speed and work rate, he also has better movement, Mayweather I getting older, the problem is Mayweather will land regular though.

Fast hands do obviously give him a chance but I cant see Khan being stronger than Mayweather and keeping him on the ropes etc. Khans most impressive punches usually come in flurries of straight punches and I dont think that would be enough to trouble Floyd over 12 rounds. I think khan would win some early rounds and then Mayweather would start picking him apart, possibly even stop Khan if he went chasing the fight in the last couple of rounds.

The biggest challenges Mayweather has faced recently have came from rough aggressive tactics by Cotto and obviously Maidana. I dont think khan is capable of matching they tactics and doesnt have the punch power to hurt Mayweather like Mosley did.

I think if they fought 10 times Mayweather would win every time but id still like to see it.

Isnt borrowing money for profit a big no-no in Muslim faith, hence the problems at Newcastle when they took Wonga as shirt sponsor. As soon as Cisse was told if he didnt play he wouldnt get paid a cleric came and told him (ben arfa and tiote) it was fine under circumstances to do! All religious rules are becoming a bit flaky, when it suits, nowadays.

I like Khan's chances as a faster outside fighter. Both just tie up on the inside, and Khan has a significant speed advantage.

I know I'm probably going to get laughed at for this but......

I think Floyd DOES have a good punch. He just chooses safety over knockouts. Why leave yourself open when you can win on points (is his strategy).

Thomas Hearns was the opposite. Why win on points when you can get the knockout?

Floyds strategy is more successful from a winning point of view but Tommy will forever hold a brighter candle in most boxing fans hearts (of a certain age).

But Floyd has a good punch and a great chin/balance. In a fight against Khan I can see him mixing it up more than usual. Looking back at Floyds career I don't think he's ever fought anyone - at world level - as chinny as Khan. Amir's speed keeps him out of trouble a lot (along with his new found hugging skills) but I think that Mayweather would be Ray Leonard to Amir Khans Hearns.

And p.s. I like both fighters before anyone gets their knickers in a twist.

Floyd lands plenty of flush shots every fight despite not going for a stoppage. If he were really a good puncher I'd expect his opponents to be hurt more often.

Not really a welterweight is he either, to be fair. Never carried power up from super feather/lightweight, and he wasnt concussive there. The shots you didnt see put you down.

In my humble opinion, he doesn't put EVERYTHING into the punches. He favours speed & a shorter distance over power & punching THROUGH the target.

When I was learning how to box (35 years ago) I was taught to throw power punches six inches past the target. Floyd aims just at the target which means he's rarely off balance and less open to counters.

If he wanted to he could be a lot more powerful. And I think he would against Amir.
