Parsons. Birmingham according to someone who answered a Steve Lillis comment about the price for the Floyd dinner dates.
Re: Mayweather coming to UK in June/July
Floyd has always been charming the few times I've met him. He plays the game very well. He will do a great job on this tour. Expect an "unscheduled" trip to a gym eg Repton, a big charity donation and lots of good PR.
That's not meant to sound cynical, as it's good business.

They're re advertising it now! It's been brought forward a day, cancelled and now put back on. All in a week!Parson Cross wrote:I'm sure Alba.
Advertising and actually happening are a bit like Wazza bills.
I genuinely hope it does come off but personally I wouldn't buy a ticket until the Money Man confirms it.
The only date that is nailed on as far as I'm concerned is 8/6 Leeds.
If it does come off by the way add Leicester 18/6.
Final Round - whose twitter account is that from, and at which location ?
Mickey is right 21/6 Leeds already pulled.

Rugby, too. Far more people in the world play baseball than Rugby, for example. Same with basketball.Wales wrote:Hate Phil Taylor, so id pay to see that. Best "athlete" (presume he means sportsman) of all time based on what? Winning multiple world titles in a sport only us and one or two other nations play! Like Baseball "the world series" in america. Only they play it! Basketball in the olympics !!

No idea what link is to these 2 universities but i "know" tickets will go on sale, so presumably some sort of talk? But why do that with his money? Also, ill bet the 2 unis will look to cash in and charge over the top.

Am very tempted to go to the Mayweather event as parents live on the Wirral but am at Royal Ascot the day before. Will see. I guess tickets will sell out quickly.

The Wrexham (Glyndwr University) one is really cheap compared to the Liverpool one - £95 will get you a picture with Mayweather there! I'd consider going to it but I'm at the Hall Vs. Butler fight that night.
Here's the website for it:

On a more serious note the lectures will go something like "You work hard, you a winner. I came to Vegas with nuttin', now I'm a multi-millionaire. My daddy taught me everything, except what my uncles taught me. But I taught myself everything. Ho's be trippin'. I have 90 cars and can't decide which one to drive. Why am I in a country named after the world's largest mammal? I respect Amir Khan. Imma beat his ass. I'm the greatest fighter of all time, even though I didn't fight my biggest rival. I spend enough money on baseball caps to feed all the starving people in Africa. Bob Arum tried to make me a slave. Did I mention my cars?"

A dinner and a photo.

This is the Birmingham one: http://boxfroguk.com/event_detail.php?id=16Final round wrote:Parsons. Birmingham according to someone who answered a Steve Lillis comment about the price for the Floyd dinner dates.
Tickets starting at £100. However, you will have to pay an additional £50 for a photo with that ticket.

You don't. You get the opportunity to pay an extra £50 for a photo if you have a £250 ticket. I sincerely hope this tour comes together. However today is exactly one month before the first date and no one has a contract with TMT.

I just confirmed it with the promoter of the Birmingham show (Ken Purchase) and he said you can get a photo for an additional £50 with the £100 ticket.
However, Mayweather will be in the photo booth for 1 hour so some people might end up getting disappointed if he decides that he's had enough at the end of the hour. From my experience most boxers stay on a little longer just to keep their fans happy.

Re: Mayweather coming to UK in June/July
I've been to quite a few of these dinner shows and the VIP ticket holders pay the extra money for hardly any visible benefit (other than a table closer to the top table). They do not get any preferential treatment when it comes to photos, well not in Birmingham anyway. I would never purchase a VIP ticket to any dinner show.Final round wrote:The Law wrote:![]()
