Re: Hall Butler Betting
I definitely do not see either guy being that big a favourite.
Re: Hall Butler Betting
Disappointing that, was hoping the bookies would have Hall as the favourite so I could make a few quid on Butler. As the odds are now, there's no value there, the only way I see Hall can win is to impose himself physically on Butler and I don't think he's good enough to do that and Butler was a big super flyweight, Hall won't be that much bigger when they get into the ring.
Re: Hall Butler Betting
i can see Butler Winning this well to be honest
see it as similiar to when Naz Stepped up to fight Robinson (although maybe not quite as Clinical as that performance )
Really like the look of Butler in fights ive saw him although this is a big step up.

Re: Hall Butler Betting
Butler for me.
Re: Hall Butler Betting
Stuey came from nothing and trust me, if Butler wants this belt, he will have to fight the fight of his life to get it. Stuey is a completely different animal now to the one that fought MacDonnell and Haskins (and I was there for both, he lost both fair and square)
I'm obviously going for a Stuey win, and I will be ringside on the night.
If anyone wants to come and say hello that would great, PM for a beer from me

What's Butler done that makes so many people think he's so great?
I might put some money on Hall.
I might put some money on Hall.
Re: Hall Butler Betting
That's just a picture of the two stood next to each other, Hall's taller, big deal, Butler's faster, hits harder and is the better boxer of the two, that's what wins fights, not simply being the bigger man.Londonirish wrote:expe wrote:the only way I see Hall can win is to impose himself physically on Butler and I don't think he's good enough to do that and Butler was a big super flyweight, Hall won't be that much bigger when they get into the ring.

Re: Hall Butler Betting
butler has alot more ability than hall.faster too unbeaten younger excellent amateur pedigree got the better in sparring and confident.hall is bigger more experienced at the higher level mentally strong and is the champion .butler has not been tested so how the odds are so wide I dont know but the price for hall looks worth a gambleHorse wrote:What's Butler done that makes so many people think he's so great?
I mpedigreesome money on Hall.
Re: Hall Butler Betting
Butler has fought who ????, he spared with hall two years ago before the Haskins fight. Hall is now faster and more accurate than he was two years ago when he was holding down a full time job as well as training, now his job is boxing and have a look at butler's record either fighters starting their careers or at the end of them, no serious opposition and remember malingas words hall punches harder than Santa Cruz. Butler is only unbeaten against specially selected opponents.bodyactive wrote:butler has alot more ability than hall.faster too unbeaten younger excellent amateur pedigree got the better in sparring and confident.hall is bigger more experienced at the higher level mentally strong and is the champion .butler has not been tested so how the odds are so wide I dont know but the price for hall looks worth a gambleHorse wrote:What's Butler done that makes so many people think he's so great?

You've made a good point nick and hall didn't have an incredible record either before he got his chance. Do you think that team butler are throwing their man away to the wolves? Are they trying to make a fast few quid out of him?nick885 wrote:Facts for butler.

I think it'll be a fight of 2 halves, butler is no slouch and hall very strong.
If it were a mate of mine in a fight I'd talk the other fellow up so when my mate won it looked better than it was

Then doing well must be all the sweeter, he's not underated because people dislike him or because it's a personal thing. It's grand when someone comes good and things turn for them. You don't have to knock butler or Haskins though, they'll have had things not go their way and have to keep on going. If you can admire Study then if you look close you'll see things in butler and Haskins to admire.
Re: Hall Butler Betting
Not me, both to cocky go their own good and both attacking Stu constantly.palooka wrote:Then doing well must be all the sweeter, he's not underated because people dislike him or because it's a personal thing. Re: Hall Butler Betting
It's a business as well as a sport and if there's a bit of a beef or a grudge that can be built there's a bit more interest and a bit more money for both. Where's the harm in that? They are all boxers - used to fighting and taking punches, how can someone's tongue upset them so much? It's not personal, it's to get a shot and/or to drum up interest. I doubt very much if Butler or Haskins gives a monkeys if what they say upsets a friend of Halls. When they fight and split some decent money it'll be forgotten and in 25 years when they meet up at an ex boxers association they'll have nothing but good memories about it all.nick885 wrote:Not me, both to cocky go their own good and both attacking Stu constantly.palooka wrote:Then doing well must be all the sweeter, he's not underated because people dislike him or because it's a personal thing.
