HARRISON V WILLIAMS
I think Audey *does* have some pop, but only when he gets everything on a shot, and what with him having fuckall rhythm and sodall stamina, he's very rarely able to land a series of shots with authority. Lewis was just so much...well, stronger.
It's going to be a long time before we have a British heavyweight champion again.

I think you can't blame Danny so much for the boring fight.
Audley I think went in with a game plan he is just not skilled enough to pull off and didn't have the heart to push the fight and go for it.
I don't think Danny should go after Skelton in my opinion, Skelton is too relentless and looks like he can absorb punches well.
Danny should take advantage of his name and get some fights against US names on the rise up in the ranks, try to cause some upsets and re-establish himself in America and hope for another title fight.

Thank god something happened in the last few rounds I bet ITV wanted their money back up til the 10th round
15th November
"I refuse to lose to a club fighter such as Danny Williams because that's all he is. After my beating Danny, you really should consider hanging up your gloves."
You donkey Audley

Disagree there, Danny was crap - but definately deserved to win the fight. It wasn't close on my card. Harrison was useless.lvlarc_uk wrote:Barry McGuigan speaks alot of shit mind, "Danny definetly deserved the win"
None of them deserved it, the only thing Danny did was land (glanced) 1 big punch. Although Audley wasn't doing much either, he was still landing the jabs throughout the fight.
Perhaps the worst British fight of the year.
Danny was the only one throwing punches with evil intent (untill the 11th round). He landed some nice body shots up close.
But that is enough of the complimentaries, cause both were crap.
However, not as poor as the commentary team - what fight was John Rawling seeing I don't know. He's still saying (freudian slip I know) that "you can watch Harrison's win on ITV.com"). He was very pro Harrison.
Danny was as bad as he was vs Klitchsko and vs Sam, he was awful - but Harrison wanted none of it. When he said he hurt his hand (cant remember which one) in the 3rd round I was thinking "what about the other in the opening seconds of the fight".
Good call. It was a dreadful bout. Audley has just not got what it takes to step up and become world heavyweight champion, if he can't beat a plodding Danny Williams, well......mikewl wrote:I think you can't blame Danny so much for the boring fight.

Danny looked out of shape in there. It was almost a re-run of the Klitschko fight, except that it was Audley in there and not Vitali. Danny really needs to train hard from now on. He doesn't need Skelton, that's for sure. He needs a big win in the US, and then a world title shot. The people are behind Danny now, so an in-shape DW should draw the crowds in.

I do apologise for the following, but hold fornicating jesus christ!!!! Danny didn't win that, he just picked up the belt because Audrey did absolutely nothing. I honestly think he was scared to a certain degree. He really is an amateur boxer who accidently turned pro because he won some gold thing. He showed no heart or desire. His trainer should have told him there isn't a limit on the number of punches you can throw.
This, with all due respect, is absolutely dire for british heavyweight boxing. If there is a rematch, half the population will commit suicide. If Williams-Skleton, materialises, Skelton will win easily. We will then have a 38 year old former kickboxer firmly established as the best we have to offer. God knows why Herbie Hide planned to go down to cruiser.
I turned down a wedding reception and absolute piss up for this. bastard

Bloody hell some of the posts here calling both shite.
Was slow early on but it was mostly Audley holding or just trying to feel him with his left. Least Danny was trying to make him fight in the beginning.
Seems Audley didn't want to risk his chin like Danny can.
Loved it when Danny dropped him in the 10th though.
Man, I thought when Audley did hurt him he would of had him out but couldn't finish it and Danny used the ropes to avoid some of his shots.
Congrats to Danny though he deserved it and was rilling to take the risks.

Well, Audley definately won the 11th and the 12th was close.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Recorded the fight only saw the first 10, Danny totally exposed Audley as a tentative plodding and pathetic fighter, not even close on my card after 10, had danny a country mile ahead, Audley can forget any pretentions of greatness, goodnight vienna.
I agree, but Danny was awful too - he said in his interview that he hadn't worked alot with Jim Mac for this fight. My question is Why? Cause it certainly showed.
That was as bad as the Klitchsko / Sam performances but he still won, and won it clear on my card. I had it 8-4 with a two point round also for Danny. This just shows quite how bad Audley was, Danny wouldn't have beaten a top twenty heavyweight tonight - no chance, but he still won.

There wasnt much difference between the 2, yes Danny was throwing the stronger punches, but he was missing with most.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Recorded the fight only saw the first 10, Danny totally exposed Audley as a tentative plodding and pathetic fighter, not even close on my card after 10, had danny a country mile ahead, Audley can forget any pretentions of greatness, goodnight vienna.
I'd like to know the boxstats as I doubt theres much between them. Very dull fight.
If Audley had some heart he could of put him away so easily.
Oh and we thought Hopkins - Taylor was bad!

It's 2:27am and I've just got back from London, over £150 poorer with a feeling of being shafted, to make matters worse I dragged my friend along for his first fight live, I now feel so ashamed!
Harrison just didn't want to know, it looked like he was just tapping Williams with his jab like you do in sparring. Too afraid to try anything else in case he got hurt. I have a massive amount of respect for boxers having the courage to get in the ring but I can safely say tonight Harrison had no heart, he reminded me of the lion from a Wizard of Oz.
I went to tonight a Harrison fan and left ashamed of our heavyweight boxing scene.
On a plus note, loved the experience up to the main fight, very good vibe, everyone nice and friendly, plenty of food and drink with no queue, a few lagers, a chat and some food - lovely
Good wins for Khan and Minter tonight.
