Some quality fights this week.
Oscar Larios and Wilfredo Vazquez. 2 consistently entertaining fighters didn't disappoint when they waged war going back and forth, and trading lots of heavy blows before Vazquez put Larios to sleep with a vicious hook in the 8th bringing a concussive conclusion to an exciting battle.
Rey Bautista scored a stunning upset over Rafael Marquez in an awesome war.
Jeff Fenech had another tough scrap with Manuel Ortiz and they battled it out to a draw in a tight contest.
The always exciting Ruben Olivares waged war with Carlos Zarate...this battle of punchers had what you might expect. Heavy blows, multiple knockdowns, and a lot of grit shown by both of these tremendous Bantamweights.
Panama Al Brown and Terry McGovern had a wonderful battle for the WBO strap with Panama Al escaping with a draw, and the belt still around his waist in a hard fought battle.
and finally Jimmy Barry and Sixto Escobar fought a great back and forth battle as well for the IBF Championship with Jimmy Barry coming out on top to become the new IBF Champ at Bantamweight.
Those are your nominees folks. Tough call this week
