I've seen this too, Audley has been putting Hennessey down, saying that he (as Eddie's promoter) has "no budget" to put on decent shows. Reading between the lines and looking at other stuff Audley has said, I think he is an utterly greed xxxxxxx who has no idea that his market value is rock all due to being past it, and being pasted in a round whenever he fights anyone good. Audley's FB page has sycophant admirers telling him he can come back, win the world title, and put the current crop of contenders in their place. He feeds off it, and encourages them. What a delusional idiot.

When you look at his rantings, he seems cheesed off that promoters are "keeping him down" by refusing to pay him what he thinks he's worth. I appreciate that when you deduct tax and training expenses, the residue purse is nothing like the original "gross" purse, but Audley is damaged goods and he should stop tricking himself that there is a conspiracy to keep him down, and take fights for less money. What he should really do is hang up his gloves but if he wants to fight on, he needs to get real.

Audley, nobody is "keeping you down" and promoters without Sky or their own TV channel are struggling and have to be realistic with their budgets. If you think you're going to get a serious 5 digit purse to face Chambers, you are dreaming. Nobody owes you another payday. There is nothing stopping you for fighting, except the warped idea in your mind that you still deserve big purses.

If Audley is as popular as he thinks/dreams he is why doesn't he promote his own shows and I am sure he could fill wembley stadium if he believes his own hype lol

If he embarked on a George Foreman style comeback, putting together a string of victories, I would follow and cheer him on. I just don't like this "pay me what I'm worth" attitude he has right now. He's only worth what promoters are willing to pay, and he should accept that it isn't much at the moment. That in itself isn't stopping him from fighting. His own greed is.

Being a boxer is no longer for A-farce I'm afraid.

Throw in the word Redemption though and maybe just maybe....

I asked Harrison why he doesn't fight in America as he lives there on twitter, as no UK promoter will touch him now, his reply was essentially everyone knows I'm a bum out here, I want a payday as a pantomime villain

Harrison needs better self esteem. If he had more confidence then he might be able to achieve something.

He fights like he's a joke, so he becomes a joke.

I have no doubt Eddie, since making radical changes to his style and conditioning, will knock Harrison out inside of two-three rounds.

Audleys not that bad, he picks the wrong opponents time after time - big punchers. Haye, Price and Wilder 3 absolute monster punchers. To me Eddie Chambers is the type of fighter he may get a chance to shake off the nerves and get into the fight against. At this stage in career i doubt he can make an impact but he is still a big name and if he doesnt win against Chambers then im fairly sure he would pack it up for good this time.

It just goes to show the expectation we had of Audley commonwealth and Olympic gold in ams and as a pro European champ and world title challenger and he's still underachieved !

You only have to watch Prizefighter to see Audley is a handful against C level fighters. It's the A and B guys that are the problem.

At least Audley seems to have made a few bob lives in a lovely part of LA has a family and business out there. Good luck to him and he should hold out for as much as possible but I hope he retires before he becomes another Danny Williams.

I wouldn't be surprised if Audley never fought again.

When he 'came out of retirement', he seemed to be under the impression that he was going to get offered a big purse to fight a high profile UK opponent. As pointed out, that's unlikely to happen. It seems that if he was going to fight journeymen on undercards, and try and get back into the mix he'd have done it by now.

Unless somebody suddenly decides to throw fat money at him for fighting, I doubt he'll do it.

id pay good money to see him fight arreola, they should offer him a basic fee for the fight and then a big bonus if he makes it to the end of round one. you could make that bonus any figure you can imagine.
