Why not a senior circuit tour - from 37+. Only fighters of that age are allowed to fight. A title is on the line and only the winner of that title is allowed to challenge for a geniune version of the world title (and therefore someone under the age bracket). Minute he challenges for the proper title, he has to vacate the OAP world title.
If a fighter is a geniune world champion and turns 37 then he of course will be allowed to continue defending his champions - if senior fighter loses his world title (or a world title challenge) controvesially, then he does reserve the right to appeal to the governing body for a rematch.
Simpler would simply be a seniors tour, same as Tennis and Golf.
With the right promotion, those fights could sell. 10 rounders.

Wouldn't need much selling would it?
The only problem I have with that is that some people mature (or start to fade) much later than others. It would be a tad unfair on stopping the better of these fighters from becoming recognised as the best in the world - regardless of age. Hence my theory that the winner of the "seniors" heavyweight title is eligable to fight for the geniune article.
