Bob Ajisafe

Post by Michael bennt »

Think Ajisafe is one of Brittany's most underrated fighters, give bellew hell over 12 rounds and schooled the unbeaten big punching Dickinson, I think he has got a European title in him if he is kept active and not left to rot in the gym. What's his back ground story did he have a good amateur pedigree?

I think he was a decent amateur has a degree from Leeds Uni IIRC. I think you may be right he may just be able to do something. I think he does have a tendency to ship silly shots sometimes but more recently he has seemed to show abit of pop in his punching as well which is a good sign.

A very underrated fighter.

He also comes across as a gentleman, and because of that he doesn't spout off nearly enough as he should and therefore doesn't attract the attention that his ability deserves.

think if he wins this channel 5 thing will do ok not as slick as some ingle fighters and gets a bit tied up coming in from his southpaw stance so gets difficult for opponents to do much or look good so I think he will be fairly avoided definately got a European title in him but think bellew cleverley got way too much world titles no way!!

The above 2 have both moved up so I think that makes his way to the European that bit easier. Although I think he has a bit of a fan unfriendly style & is pretty talented so think that will hinder him regarding getting fights. A high risk low reward so of opponent.

I thought when he got going he was good. Sharp and very athletic. I remember him going in 2 or 3 years ago with Belllew and being a big underdog, think Bellew was saying he was gonna do this that and the other to him.
I reckon if they fought again Bob could probably beat him. Seen Dickinson live and I remember thinking he was a handful, but Bob's already outpointed him (altho I haven't seen it)......based solely on last night tho I'd go for Bob to win.

Bellew says he will do this and that to everyone, but rarely deliver on his promises. The Cleverley bollox at the weekend was another example. He had his chance twice now to fight for a title and failed to deliver both times.

He actually said after the Cleverley fight that it was the correct decision, now he makes out he won the fight.

It smells of the old scouse piss and wind approach. Old Johnny Nelson being a yorkshireman and thus built of sterner stuff and unquestionable morals, saw right through Bellews scouse moaning and hollow threats. He called him out on it a couple of times on Saturday.

I know Bellew is trying to talk up a fight and that it will be a huge payday for him, but the fight sells itself. No need to play the victimized moaning scouse role to the degree he is doing.

Cleverley beats him again for me. Too busy, better engine and better chin.

it was quite alarming the way Cleverly got blasted by his last (?) opponent, imo.

What, Kovalev? He's quite possibly the biggest puncher in boxing right now, only 3 of his opponents have been past the 6th round with him, one of those sadly didn't survive to tell the tale. He's very accurate, chin seems to be rock solid and unbelievably heavy handed, the only light heavyweights I would give any chance against him are Stevenson because he's so awkward, but I still think Kovalev knocks him out, and Hopkins, purely because his chin's always been brilliant and he could nullify Kovalev, but I don't see him beating him either. Getting stopped by him is no disgrace at all, Cleverly wasn't the first to go out that way and certainly won't be the last.

I like Travis Dickinson and would like to see him lift the Maxipad Trophy but I don't see a way past Ajisafe for him.
