Sounds like Eddie Hearn agrees with the topic title - Sky are reporting he's vetoed Reiss reffing Froch vs Groves due to his performance in the Arreola fight.

Yep clearly loves the attention on himself and likes to be totally 'involved' in the fight so everyone notices him. My definition of a really BAD referee. The best refs are the ones who just get on quietly and efficiently and who don't make a show of themselves.

I watched it this morning and personally thought it was a good stoppage. He gave Arreola every chance and rightly so it was a world title fight.

I saw no problem with that stoppage at all.

Although I agree he was a massive attention whore in the Ward-Rodriguez fight, he did succeed in making both boxers fight much cleaner. I actually enjoyed watching Ward work during the 2nd half of that fight after Reiss had his hissy-fit, probably the first time I could say I enjoyed watching Ward. It was also pretty funny, just cos it was so ridiculous to see a referee have a tantrum during a world title fight.
