A Request from Erik Morales

Post by gilgamesh »

Jimmy Barry's mandatory is next week. Pete Herman and Sixto Escobar will both get the opportunity over Erik Morales, but Morales humbly requests that Mr. Herman and Mr. Escobar respectively step aside and allow him the shot at Jimmy Barry.

We know this is unorthodox behavior, but Jimmy Barry has been ducking Morales relentlessly for as long as we can remember, and being his Mandatory is pretty much the one and only way we'll ever get that little bastard into the ring. So Morales asks if you gentlemen could please do the right thing, and not allow this little f*cker to duck him any longer.

Morales would be more than happy to defend his belt against either of you Gentleman, mandatory or not if you would be so kind as to allow this fight to happen.

It's up to you guys.

Let's just be clear. Barry's undisputidism will not be toyed with. Any attempt to artificialize the workings of the Sim will be dealt with in whatever way it takes to preserve integrity.

Barry will not be made sport of, mocked, or treated in any other fashion than the fashion that he deserves.

Any attempt on behalf of the evil Gilgamesh to denigrate Barry's just due, will be foiled.

The only way I intend to denigrate Barry's accomplishments is to whip his ass in the ring. I'll give him credit where credit is due, and say that he's shown he can compete at the World Class level in his last two outings beating undoubtedly the 2 toughest opponents of his career thus far, but he still hasn't beaten a fighter the caliber of Erik Morales, and hasn't ducked anybody else nearly as relentlessly as he has Morales.

If Jimmy Barry ever wants Morales' respect he'll step in the ring, and earn it.

I have no doubt that the other Champions would take on Morales at the drop of a hat whether he was their mandatory challenger or not, because that's what REAL Champions do. They take on REAL Challengers. With Barry it has to be a mandatory or he wouldn't even consider the fight.

Just for confirmation, the order is

1. Pete Herman
2. Sixto Escobar
3. Erik Morales

So if the two guys refuse the mando shot, then Jimmy Barry will have no choice but to fight you.

Indeed. I know it's a long shot that either Herman or Escobar will step aside, and allow the fight to happen. I can always hope so though.
