Round 10

Postol is throwing double jabs into the face of Aydin, then looping a right into his ear from a safe vantage. Aydin is moving forward, gloves turned over his face, reaching in to measure with his slow jab, looking for rights on the chest or left hooks upstairs. Postol is clipped a few times but keeps moving fluidly and letting his hands go.

10-9 Postol

99-91 Postol

WHOA SH*T. A big KO shot came out of nowhere in the 11th round for Postol. That was an impressive ending to an already impressive showing.

he was out on his feet from the two rights before the uppercut.
aydin fought a gutsy fight but he had reach and height and skill disadvantage

Postol other than the shaky moment in the first looked really good. He beat up Aydin far easier than either Guerrero and Jesus Soto Karass did.

Postol is a real player at Light Welterweight. His height and reach is going to give anyone problems at LW.

Great endurance too. He looked fresh in the 11th round. His chin may be a suspect though.

Yeah, the only concern about him is his chin though Aydin caught him flush. He is still a work in progress which should be scary for the other Light Welterweights.

He just said it again. "if Alvarado can't outbox him in the first few rounds, he needs to get him in a dog fight"
I keep noticing it now that you brought it to my attention!!

nothing clean really landed but marquez came forward and was busier
and at least threw the harder shots. Alvarado did nothing to earn the
round at all.

Alvarado appeared tentative in that round. JMM was the aggressor.

I don't understand why Lampley always messes up simple facts. He just said "Rios knocked out Alvarado in the 6th round" if his memory of the sport is no better than that. I should have his job.

Lampley makes those kinds of mistakes all the time. The kinds of mistakes that suggest he's not a REAL fan of the sport.

dog fighting being not so bad after the vick case?

Round 1

Alvarado peers down at Marquez, through his gloves, sticking in jabs and cutting aside. Marquez is reaching up with the jab and throwing incisive left hooks at the head while Alvarado is circling. 1-2 by Marquez pressing in after chasing Alvarado for over a minute pawing jabs into the air. Alvarado drops a right hand in return, by the ear.

Round 2

Marquez is waiting, reacting to Alvarado's jab, either jerking away or flitting in past it to land his own jab. 1-2 by Marquez. Right hand snuck in by Alvarado while circling. Jabs traded. Body shots by Marquez. Grazing hook from outside by Alvarado.

10-9 Marquez

He probably was there along side Michael Vick, and just didn't get called on it. He raised Dogs too.

off first while backing up and marquez countering alvarado to death.
decent hook counter from Alvarado with about 30 2nds left but marquez
walked through it
30-27 marquez
