well I dont know about that, if you know all the critieria then fair enough but if somoen posted that as a list of all time Brit heavies on here they would be savaged quicker than wounded zebra on the plains.
so fair is fair we didnt know what the critieria were and in the abscence of further info I think Bob would also understand that if someone presented that list to him as a reflection of Britiains best big men he also would look at it and think, what in gods name is this!
as it stands I dont envy the bloke having to find 20 heavies he rates from the past 40 years
Mmmm. to be fair to myself, there wasn't a mention of the last 40 years that I could see. If that is the case I reckon that's as good a stab as most could make. There might be some cause to review Audley's ranking, mind...
Still, nice of him to make the effort. Bob, if you're out there, Happy Christmas. And can I have a job?

It is very easy for us to sit here and pass judgement on boxing journalists.
But when you have a tight schedule to keep and your editor asks you to write down the top 20 HW's in the past 40 yrs it isn't easy.
Ok close down this thread and think about it yourselves. Who among us can remember 20 class HW's in the past 40 yrs.
It takes me all my time to write down a top 20 of all time never mind a top 20 British HW's
I'm 44yrs old and been around gyms since I was 6 and I'd like to think I know a fair amount about boxing, but to pick a top 20 British HW's for me was damn near impossible.
Pick a top 20 p4p is almost as diffifcult.
So before you slate Bob for his choices, think long and hard about who you would put in there.
