Can we say hypejob?
Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
Guerrero seems tailor made for Lemieux. A guy with great power against a guy whose chin is certainly questionable.
Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
9-1-1 Charlo
It wouldn't be the most exciting matchup, but it would certainly be interesting to see Jermell Charlo vs Austin Trout I think. Charlo can compete at that level I think. We have to see him in against it though.

You could, but I think you'd be jumping the gun considerably.hulkmaniac wrote:Can we say hypejob?

Austin Trout's biggest impediment is his lack of power. Easy work for both Charlos.
Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
If Austin Trout would be easy work for anybody then they're not a hype job. Austin Trout is no pushover.hulkmaniac wrote:Austin trouts biggest impediment is his lack of power. Easy work for both Charlos.

11-1 Charlo. He wasn't as impressive as I thought he might be, but that jab is pretty, his stamina is damn good, and his style will give some top guys problems.

Austin Trout is overrated. I think people overestimate his skills just because he seems like a nice guy and he earned it the hard way.gilgamesh wrote:If Austin Trout would be easy work for anybody then they're not a hype job. Yeah trout is a good fighter. He just happened to fight probably the best two light middles bar Mayweather, back to back.
Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
118-109 Charlo.
Not his best performance, but sufficient that he'll stay on track, and move on to bigger and better things.

Overrated by who? I hardly ever hear anybody even talking about him at all.hulkmaniac wrote:Austin Trout is overrated. Doesnt lara train with the same trainer?
Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
Apparently yes, the commentators kept mentioning how Ronnie Shields feels he is ready for a title shot because he keeps doing very well in sparring with Lara.columbo wrote:Doesnt lara train with the same trainer?

Lemieux-Guerrero next
Lemieux gets ripped on a lot, but he's very fun to watch.

Didnt he just call out Lara though? That seems an odd one if they're in the same stable. I'd like to see it but it's not often you see gym mates calling each other out.gilgamesh wrote:Apparently yes, the commentators kept mentioning how Ronnie Shields feels he is ready for a title shot because he keeps doing very well in sparring with Lara.columbo wrote:Doesnt lara train with the same trainer?

Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
I didn't hear him call out Lara specifically, but I heard him call out the 154 pound Champions in general.columbo wrote:Didnt he just call out Lara though? Does anyone have a link for the stream? thanks.
Re: May 24th Showtime: Andrezj Fonfara vs Adonis Stevenson
Ah i could be wrong then. I wasnt paying full attention but Steve Bunce reckoned he did. He talks a lot of bollocks though so it's probably nonsense.gilgamesh wrote:I didn't hear him call out Lara specifically, but I heard him call out the 154 pound Champions in general.columbo wrote:Didnt he just call out Lara though? Guerrero looks totally different with his hair cut short like that.
