Looking for Boxer Lefty Stange Meriden CT 1940's

Hello, I am looking for some help in finding out more information about my father, Howie 'Lefty' Stange, who was a boxer in Meriden CT during the late '40's. As I did not grow up with my father I know very little about it, but my dad was recently featured in the Record-Journal as a local boxing champion, see article. Is there some way you could help me learn a bit more, perhaps a picture of him in the ring. He fought at the Meriden Auditorium and Meriden Armory.

I think it's likely he was an amateur fighter though.
