Why is there a rematch? It was all settled the first time?

Fury vs Chisora 2
When Chisora fought Tyson Fury the first time, it was billed as The Big Brawl To Settle It All.

Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Chisora's one a few and claimed he was fat at the time. Fury also claims he was fat and can beat him better. No real need to fight again and the media don't seem that interested. They were mooting for a stadium at first which is laughable. Rather see Chisora vs Povetkin and Fury vs Pulev or Thompson
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Both these are irrelevant. The big brawl already settled it all.danconnollyeire wrote:Chisora's one a few and claimed he was fat at the time. Fury also claims he was fat and can beat him better.

Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
I think it'll be an interesting contest, regardless of old ground already having been covered.
After all the drama and time wasted on Haye, Fury seemed to of lost some interest or love in the boxing game, and it makes me wonder (to a point) how all that disappointment and inactivity will play against an old foe like Chisora who seems more determined than he has been in a long time.
My money is still on Tyson, but I will never forget how it shocked me when he said (to the effect) that "My cousin Hughie fights for the love of boxing, I fight for the money now," after Haye pulled out for the second time in their contest. I dont know if that was just anger and disappointment talking, but it certainly made me think what is Fury's emotional/mental state or drive in boxing anymore.

Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
I see Tyson's father in law nearly every day at work - he's a sound fellow. I'll ask him how Tyson is getting on, his head was bound to be all over after the Haye let downs.
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Fury fights are always exciting and at the end of the day this is a rare thing two ranked heavies fighting each other and both are better boxers and fitter than they were last time so I am looking forward to it.
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Yup. Good shout. So what if they boxed before. Its a great match with two fighters at a crucial point in their careers. Bring it on and more like it imorm1 wrote:Fury fights are always exciting and at the end of the day this is a rare thing two ranked heavies fighting each other and both are better boxers and fitter than they were last time so I am looking forward to it.
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Undercard looks brilliant as well, even if the main event goes to pot, the rest of the card is easily value for money, lot of good fights on there.Broomhall wrote:Yup. Good shout. I think Chisora is right though, he was in terrible shape for that fight.danconnollyeire wrote:Chisora's one a few and claimed he was fat at the time.

Why have you started a thread on it, dosser?ILikeBeer wrote:When Chisora fought Tyson Fury the first time, it was billed as The Big Brawl To Settle It All.

Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
I demand answers. Why have a rematch when the big brawl already settled it all. That's what it was billed as, and it was blatant false advertising.mickey1975 wrote:Why have you started a thread on it, dosser?
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
No excuse though. It's not like it was anybody else's fault that he came in in poor shape.sendo wrote:I think Chisora is right though, he was in terrible shape for that fight.
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Nothing wrong with the fight, but the four months of build up with the extraordinary, astonishing, brutal, hilarious, excruciating, unmissable head to heads and press conferences is unnecessary.
Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
But the big brawl settled it all. The first fight promised us that it was settled. All of it.earsjohn wrote:Nothing wrong with the fight, but the four months of build up with the extraordinary, astonishing, brutal, hilarious, excruciating, unmissable head to heads and press conferences is unnecessary.

its totally necesary to shift tickets thoughearsjohn wrote:Nothing wrong with the fight, but the four months of build up with the extraordinary, astonishing, brutal, hilarious, excruciating, unmissable head to heads and press conferences is unnecessary.

I don't think you guys understand the problem.
In the second fight, there is nothing to settle. Nothing.
The Big Brawl has already Settled It All.

Re: Fury vs Chisora 2
Is it though? How many right minded people stump up for a Warren show more than a week before the event? Endless obscurely broadcast clips of Fury and Chisora making snide comments at each other, making faux macho gestures and unending staring contests is not going to have a huge impact over 2 months before the fight actually happens.cold187 wrote:its totally necesary to shift tickets thoughearsjohn wrote:Nothing wrong with the fight, but the four months of build up with the extraordinary, astonishing, brutal, hilarious, excruciating, unmissable head to heads and press conferences is unnecessary.

This is a rare occasion where I'm actually looking forward to the under-card more than the main event!expe wrote:Undercard looks brilliant as well, even if the main event goes to pot, the rest of the card is easily value for money, lot of good fights on there.Broomhall wrote:Yup. BJS v Blandamura European Title
Smith v Mansouri British Title
Mathews v Flanagan British Title
Sykes v Walsh British Title
If all these fights go ahead could be a late one.

Everything has been settled. This fight is:
"The normal sized brawl for no particular reason and especially not for purposes of settling."

"The Big One, which is nowhere near as big as I'm making out, this is the best I could do to rival Froch Groves 2, at least I've given you a good under-card"
I think it's catchy. Better than Christmas Cracker anyway!

It's exactly what Froch and Groves have been doing and everyone's lapped that up, at least Fury's unpredictable and comes out with some good one liners.earsjohn wrote:Nothing wrong with the fight, but the four months of build up with the extraordinary, astonishing, brutal, hilarious, excruciating, unmissable head to heads and press conferences is unnecessary.
