RIP Miracle Matthew Light Heavyweight Champ :(
You were one of the great warriors. I research him and watched most of his fights on youtube where I remembered he survived 20 punches from Lopez in the eighth round in their second fight that he nearly lost the title, but Matthew came back and stopped him in the fourteenth round.

Matthew was a fantastic fighter and made for television; it's an awful shame that his life was so difficult and he didn't ought to have ended his days homeless and struggling - he should have been sitting pretty. Hope he's at peace now.

This is truly sad news.
The term "warrior" is tossed about about with gay abandon in boxing but there are few that I've seen who could match Saad for true heart and balls.
He was a great champion who took on all comers in a true golden age for Light Heavyweights. RIP.

Wow, this is sad to hear. He seemed a like a decent guy. He was a fun boxer to watch.

Very few could claim to have given more to the sport than my all time favorite fighter, Matthew Saad Muhammed. Without the memories of his great many battles, my love for boxing would be greatly diminished.
RIP Champ.
